Caribou Cup

Post by Moonchester on Thu Aug 30, 2018 12:41 pm

Draw is at 7 tonight.

1 AFC Bournemouth
2 Arsenal
3 Blackburn
4 Blackpool
5 Brentford
6 Burnley
7 Burton
8 Chelsea
9 Crystal Palace
10 Derby
11 Everton
12 Fulham
13 Leicester
14 Liverpool
15 Macclesfield
16 Manchester City
17 Manchester United
18 Middlesbrough
19 Millwall
20 Norwich
21 Nottingham Forest
22 Oxford
23 Preston
24 QPR
25 Southampton
26 Stoke
27 Tottenham
28 Watford
29 West Brom
30 West Ham
31 Wolves
32 Wycombe

So we are ball 16...
needless to say, easiest draw is anything at home and avoiding a fellow top 6 team.
Although in the early rounds we would have the advantage over them given our stronger 2nd eleven...

After our showing last weekend, what's the odds we're at Molineux?

At least there’s no Wigan, hopefully we won’t get Wolves otherwise I’m not fussed who we draw.

Another decent draw for us. Gets rid of 3 decent PL teams as well. The Rags reserves will struggle v Lampard's Derby

I know, the dippers getting a tough draw, right? The ball warmer will be looking for a new job this morning.

About the same time we last had a cup home draw. Which by my reckoning was December 7th, 1974.

Based on recent performances, the rags first team would struggle against Derby's U18s...

Liverpool v Chelsea  will just be a youth team fixture.
