Manchester City v Brighton and Hove Albion

Post by Strange Blue on Sat Sep 29, 2018 2:35 pm

Starting XI
City: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Silva (c), Sane, Sterling, Bernardo, Aguero

Subs: Muric, Danilo, Kompany, Stones, Mahrez, Jesus, Foden

Interesting that  Zinchenko keeps his place. Looks like Delph is not fit as hes not even on the bench. Good job we didn't sell him after all.

Thought Danilo might play left back tbh. Knockaert down their right can be a bit tricky and Zinky’s not the quickest - Sane might have to do a bit of tracking back.

Brighton playing really well, will have to increase the intensity & get a goal soon if we are going to get something out of this. Can feel a bit of complacency setting in.

Watching the Ryder Cup today but have an eye on the game.  Need over 2.5 goals for my acca bet so wouldn't mind an early goal today.

Dominant stuff but only 1-0 H-T. Second goal will kill it.

In control, but without a 2nd goal Brighton are still in it.

Decent performances all-round, Sterling the star man. One of these days we’ll take more of our chances and someone will get a hell of a beating.

Easy enough by all accounts.  Shame we didn't get a 3rd as it brought my bet down.

Sterling impressive yet again, what seems to have changed is consistency I was wondering if he would drop off after last season, but no sign of it.

I think Sterling has been better than last season so far....now taking more than one player on...him and Bernardo our two best players so far this season - and Sergio (but that's a given).

Comfortable really. Would have like a goal or two more and get Foden on earlier.
