As far as I can see this platinum seasoncard is just a cynical way of hiding a rise in price for next season. With the scramble for tickets intensifying the more successful we get,the club know full well that the vast majority will pay the extra £50 to get more loyalty points and attempt to get higher up the queue for potential semi and final tickets next season.I thought the semi final jump to the front of the queue for cup direct scheme subscribers was an intelligent and understandable business ploy considering the poor gates for cup games and the inevitable rise in subscribers next season, but I would rather see transparency and honesty from the club as I think we were all expecting a price rise anyway.

I don't think cynical's quite the right word but if you want to keep your loyalty points at an acceptable level then you would be wise to pay the £50 unless you're planning on going to every away match. All the other crap you get bundled in with the Platinum card is of absolutely no interest to me.

I haven't looked at it properly, but I've shared my ticket for about 11 years now. So does that mean if I don't go platinum to double my points, somone who got their season ticket when Thaskin came in could equal my points in half the time?
