Oscar Nominated Films
Any films you think will be nominated and why?
Just watched 12 years a Slave this afternoon....all I can say is..."wow".....it's a film that will grab you, shame you and bring it home, just how awful human beings can be.....a film as powerful as The Colour Purple and deserves best actor, director, supporting actor/actress and many other film awards.
If anyone wants a link...let me know.

Not see either of them yet, but Wolf of Wall Street is exceptional.

Re: Oscar Nominated Films
If any of you have access to XBMC devices you can stream pretty much any film the minute it comes out at the cinema. Same goes for live streams of the football.
http://www.xbmchub.com/ if interested.
Personally I have a LIttle White Box a bit like an AppleTV that I stream all kinds of stuff to. Its great for 3pm Football on a Saturday on the main TV. Quality is a little pants but at least you can watch it.

I'll have to check into that, Blistering. I recently replaced my ageing Media Centre with a Raspberry Pi running XBMC - saves me a fair wedge in electricity, doesn't make any noise at all and does everything I need it to.

A bit more. You either run a bit of software on your PC called XBMC or the beauty like mine is I run it on a little device attached to my 42" LCD in the lounge.
It stands for XBOX Media Centre and grew from the old original XBOX when people hacked them to death as media centres.
That Hub site is all the nice add-ons for getting access to films and sport. The actual XBMC site is here http://xbmc.org/
You've done the hard part then. Get on the Hub site and setup the add-ons there are loads. 1channel films are great and Sportdevil seems to have all the live footy.

Just been having a look at that now, seems like a little work, but nothing too onerous. I'll give it a go tonight, can't hurt!

TBF BB......i really am loathed to download 'software' etc to my PC as I use it for work and my business..
The sites I use for live streaming of the matches etc....films, tv series etc that I watch on my PC...requires no downloading of any software......I'm sure the site you've published is brilliant..so maybe I will look at it on my laptop.....thanks for the link, some good add-ons on there.
