Sorry Oz....my bad. I wasn't driving ( Embarassed )....is my excuse!!

I remember it being a weird drive though, sort of middle of nowhere.......weird rock formations coming out of the ground (can't remember the name)....and visiting a dog cemetery...with hundreds of dog tombstones...

Hahaha...yeah, that's them - The Pinnacles....knew we went North at some point.

Yeah, the Dog Cemetery was a bit strange....but then I remember we pulled into this small shop in the middle of nowhere...bought 4 or 5 items, only one of them was in date, the others were 3 or 4 months out of date! Odd place.

I've got an old VHS tape of my trip there.....really should try and get it onto a DVD sometime.

yeah I know the feeling I did all my old vhs tapes a couple of years ago just before the video recorder kicked the bucket. Had about 20  or so to do did the city ones & the family ones 1st followed by a couple of old Queen documentaries ( the group ) Out of date stuff is nothing new to country towns No pun intended. It's a question of buy it or do without. You can hardly say i'll wait for the next town that's usually another days drive, especially going up north.

I Live in Ellenbrook it wouldn't have been around when you were here. Ellenbrook was starting to be developed in 1994, now it is the largest suburban development in the whole of Australia. it has won numerous awards within the building industry. About half an hour from Kewdale The Hotel & golf course would be the Burswood now known as crown casino Perth owned by Kerry Packers son. The Golf course does not exist anymore as 2 years ago a major building development was started on the site of the golf course.

Bollocks I just did a post on Corrigin & didn't send it, Cant be bothered to re write it but the cemetery makes sense now, as a few years ago they had a festival called Dog in a ute the main objective was to try and get an entry into the guinness book of records for the largest number of dogs and utes to congregate in one place. I'm sure they achieved their goal and something like 1600 turned up.

The Burswood....that's it. I remember it being a big white hotel with big glass windows overlooking the golf course...and just loving it there.

Dog in a Ute?? Only in Oz! Yeah, well it was an odd place....sort of like the film Wolf Creek!!

Do they still have the Cemetery and god knows how big it must be now???

will have to find out about the cemetery. Ellenbrook is in the heart of the swan valley probably north of where you stayed. It is a big wine region as well as renowned boutique breweries eating establishments, Cheese & chocolate factories, ice cream factory, vodka distillery, coffee roasters loads of fresh fruit & veggies, so a foodies & drunks paradise. i'm right at home.
