Negredo to leave?

If he wasn't injured, he may have left already. He wouldn't have been included in the CL squad anyway, even before the injury.

He can be replaced if he wants to go.  Seems to have started to sulk after the goals stopped.

Nowhere in that article does it quote Negredo. The only thing is says is 'it seems Negredo is unhappy to fall behind Dzeko, Aguero and Jovetic'...

I'm sure Negredo is upset with his situation. He had a blinding start to his City career and then picked up a injury that effected his form in the final third of the season.

He got himself fit, made a statement to City TV saying "don't believe any of the quotes that the papers claim, I'm happy here".

So let me get this right:

1) MP in the summer said Negredo IS NOT FOR SALE.

2) MP has stated he needs 2 players for each position (4 strikers).

3) Negredo is injured until October...so cannot be sold outside the transfer window.

4) A quote of "£25m and he can go" is alleged to have come from??? Who and when and why after point 1?

5) If we sold him in January 2015...what top class striker will be available to come to City for £25m, or even want to move if their club is still in the CL?

Come on guys...Negredo was excellent for us for 6 months last season, then got injured. We all thought he was brilliant, now you're not bothered if he goes?

 

Its not that Blue, but I am firmly in the camp of any player that doesn't want to be here should not be here.

If it's purely paper crap then great, I'm not looking for him to go.

However if it's like Yaya and trying to manufacture something, then that's a different matter.

I'm with you BB...however, at no point since Negredo made that interview to City TV has he come out and been quoted as saying he wants to leave, nor has MP been quoted as saying he wants to sell him if the price is right.

It doesn't make sense for a paper to say "Negredo is unhappy at being 4th in the striker list"....of course he's 4th, or even 5th behind Guidetti, he's bloody injured and cannot play until October!

Don't understand why Shaken. £25m in today's market will buy you who...and in January?

Of the 'supposed' top class strikers out there....there's only Falcao and you can double the £25m and double his wages.

Negredo scored 23 goals last season and missed pretty much 3 months of the season.

I hope he stays and gets fit again....as we can't rely on Dzeko until the last couple of months of the season. I think it'll be the same story for him...starts games, doesn't do anything. Make him a sub and make him sulk...he'll score important goals.

The stories of him being 'homesick' etc. have been going on all summer. We could only get Cavani or Falcao. We can afford a £50M transfer (especially if he's sold for £25M).

The thing is, again, we'd have too many non HG if we bought one of them.

I don't want him to leave. Once he gets fit again he'll be hungry to prove his worth once more.
Loved his attitude when he arrived, and I can remember some games when he was virtually unplayable.
If Shane Long is worth £12m then nobody should insult us with an offer of £25m.
I certainly wouldn't want a fit Negredo playing against us!

I like Negredo and based on the season he was having before he got injured and the partnership he formed with Kun, i think that unless he actually asks to leave then we should give the guy a break.

The paper crap continues also in Italy. Roma are eying Jovetic. I too think Negredo is definitely worth keeping   ( although Wellbeck is for sale )!!!! 

No chance Jovetic will leave. We'd be down to 2 fit strikers.  Unless we are buying Falcao or Cavanni and they'd need time to get used to the PL. No chance.

Look, i'm not saying i want him to leave.....just if we get offered £25m.

I was referring to Oz's comment about Jovetic  being wanted in Italy.  Negredo cam leave if we get offered the right amount. Can't see it happening unless we have someone else lined up though and we can drop one JF for the CL squad.

Was superb b4 his injury & when he gets fit again I wouldn't count on him not being no2 to King Sergio again
