QPR v City Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
So....a game we have to win. Not bothered too much about the performance, we just need 3 points. Chelsea were poor against Liverpool but got 3 points - nobody will remember the performance in May. We've been poor off late, so I expect a response and I definitely expect players like TLF, Nasri, Navas, Fernandinho and Clichy to have a good game...god knows they owe us one.
Not sure how they will line up, but with Kompany out, we need our DFM's to make sure they are solid in front of the back 4....not give masses of space like they have done of late.
I'd like to see Fernandinho in for Fernando and pretty much sit in front of the back 4 and go nowhere near their 3rd.
For me:
....................................................Hart........................................................
.....Zaba.......................DeM.................................Mangala....................Clichy...
................................................Fernandinho...................................................
Navas..............................................................................................Milner....
...................................TLF......................................Nasri..............................
....................................................Aguero.......................................................

It's not just a lack of confidence, it's a lot of arrogance. Go on, give those fuckers new contracts...

Overpaid mercenary wankers. Long term contracts do nothing to play for

I'm angry and unhappy, not depressed. I'm outraged that our players put in such a performance. They don't know the meaning of the word professional.

What do you reckon Pellegrini will say this time? We were unlucky or we were shit? The league isn't over, there are still many points to play for....

I was hoping that Kun would clock Barton and get sent off so we would be down to one striker. Then we'd really hear them whinging.

My worry is Sergio looks pissed off, why stick around for this shit. He and Joe are holding us together at the moment. At least it's a break and Silva should be back.

Re: QPR v City Live Thread
He started poorly last season. He, or maybe the players, helped to get him out of trouble. Still, we weren't the best team last season. We got lucky countless times with individual brilliance rather than fantastic team play. We went through a wobble and then we stopped scoring so freely. We managed to hold it together for the final few games but, you could say, some signs were already there. Liverpool hit us hard early on and got their rewards.
This season, we haven't been good at all. I say it's a follow on from last season and the world cup, problems caused by Yaya in the summer and, what now looks like, poor signings this summer.
All of this should be laid before the manager and the two fellas from Barca. Khaldoon I trust, it's those other plonkers who are wasting this golden opportunity.
We need a manager for 3-5 years who will instill belief into our players. We need to play as a proper team all pulling together.
Look at Ramires today. He hardly gets a look in for Chelsea these days with Fabregas, Hazard, Matic, Oscar and Willian in midfield but he played splendidly from the bits I saw today. At least Mourinho has his players fired up pretty much every time they go onto the pitch. He has got slackers like Hazard and Oscar working their bollocks off for the team. Pellegrini just can't seem to get our guys motivated enough to put the effort required in as well as having shit tactics.

Re: QPR v City Live Thread
Well, that was a big old pile of shite. Any idiot could see QPR have been unlucky to get anything in the last few games and they would be well up for taking a point or three from us based on our current performance. We needed to go for the jugular. And we just didn't.
No Milner in a game that was crying out for him. Lunacy.
And once more, the only players who can leave the pitch with a shred of dignity are Serge and Joe. Jim didn't have a chance to get into it. Everyone else was a deep shade of wank.
I don't know how we won the league last season. The longer this goes on, the more it looks like we were gifted it and that, dear friends, is just not good enough by a long shot.

To be honest they are just not as good as they think they are
Last season we WERE gifted it The signs were there in many games where harder working teams usually got something out of the game
This season we have been found out badly

Defensively we are terrible Most Other MFs are harder working than ours But for the magnificent Aguero we wd be an average mid table team at best
I said the other day keep MP but I've changed my mind He needs to go before we drop any further

Re: QPR v City Live Thread
Last year we relied on stellar performances from a few key players such as Sergio (when fit), Silva, Yaya, Hart and Nasri. Maybe a few others contributed well from time to time, but you can see that shorn of most of the contributors, we are a bag of shite. Silva, injured. Nasri, coming back from injury. Yaya, injured in the head. Playing with just two players on form is hard going. We needed battlers out there, not bottlers.

Re: QPR v City Live Thread
We have a proven battler in Jimmy Milner as Leo has already stated. He should have been on from the start before Nasri and Toure, the confidence i had when MP first arrived and we were blowing teams like Arsenal, Liverpool and the rags out of the water has now almost totally evaporated. He can go now after the season ends, i dont like managers being sacked early in a season or even mid season they should be allowed the chance to turn things around.
Unfortunately, we are out of the CL and the PL already despite mathematics, we are out of the Carling Cup and have only the FA Cup to salvage our season but i cannot see the owner being satisfied with that, it is not progress from last year when we won the league and qualified from the group stages of the CL.
We also need to shed the dross like Toure, Cliche and Nasri you can probably give one or 2 the benefit of the doubt and hope they improve. Those include Mangala (£35m seriously?),Fernando and Fernandinho.
We seriously need full back cover on both side as Zab is the only quality we have in those positions. The CB's are not that bad but need to fucking wake up and get their act together, even VK has lost the plot. The midfield needs another creative play maker to cover when the little magician is absent. 2 out and out wide players would be useful and one more top class striker to replace either Dzeko or Jovetic, depending on the latter's fitness.
Most of this will probably need to be addressed in the summer not January but this season is a write off as far as i am concerned, in terms of the major trophies the owner and fans wanted anyway.

IF.....we can address 2 or 3 areas in January and improve the team...I still think we could still catch Chelsea...but that will depend on a massive turnaround in effort and one or two players being brought in - and two or three getting binned.
OUT for me - TLF, Navas, Dzeko
IN for me - Berahino, Reus, Goetze

Out for me Navas Dzeko Kolarov Clichy Boyata Nasty
I wd say Mangala as he's bin dire but have to give him a season
We need a top LB, a top striker and a top MF in my view
We now have Dzeko out & a fragile Jovetic & with 2 of our world class players out in Kompany & Silva, Aguero has to stay fit or we are completely screwed!

As I see it the only reason MP got the job was a fill in until Viera was ready to take over. Why else employ a manager who before we employed him was considering where he would spend his retirement.
Well that time has arrived an PV should be given his chance

Re: QPR v City Live Thread
Viera in for me.....without a shadow of doubt.
MP has lost the dressing room.....his handling and apathy towards TLF in the summer showed he's no bollocks to deal with 'supposed superstars'
He's allowed a wanker earning £220k per week to get away with daylight robbery and not had the nuts to drop him. I'd have actually have stuck with him if he showed some and dropped him for another player/kid whoever...but all he's proven is he's a 'yes' man and relies on reputation...which has gotten us into this predicament.
I'm sure if a WC winner in Viera came in, he wouldn't stand for the shite that some of these players have been giving recently...he'd let them know in no uncertain terms that is wasn't acceptable.
If you watch his youth teams, on many occasions, he's subbed players of a standing like Brendan Barker, an England International, at half time and his subs have gone on to win our youth teams the game......and look at Barker now!! Playing brilliantly and scoring goals again.
I'm sorry, but I want the useless fucker gone....and I'd rather give Viera a go until the end of the season - as so far, as it stands, our season is pretty much over unless there is a dramatic turnaround.
MP has been pathetic in his team selections, formations and substitutions.....week in, week out for the past 2 months.

I could go along with Viera until the end of the season if no-one else wanted to move mid season. But if we don't get CL we are fucked for FFP.
