Evans issues an apology

Evans issues an apology
Seems he has issued an apology through the PFA.
He has apologised for causing upset to many people for the incident, including the victim, but still maintains he is innocent and his conviction was wrong.

About time too. He can still plead his innocence whilst apologising for the upset caused. Now he should distance himself from that distasteful website.

Re: Evans issues an apology
I think he already has, Dawg. In the article Bluey posted, he says this:
It's taken him far too long to get to this apology, but I can see how he'd have to tread very carefully with the ongoing legal process, so elected to keep quiet. Still, I suppose he had to get to a point where he realised he couldn't go any further without saying anything and the Oldham u-turn must've been it.
Fair play to him, it's the one thing I felt he should at least do and now he's done it. Let's hope all the nonsense simmers down now.
I suspect his use of the term "social media" might cover all bases. Finally, it has been claimed that those using social media in an abusive and vindictive way towards this woman are supporters of mine. I wish to make it clear that these people are not my supporters and I condemn their actions entirely and will continue to do so.
