Re: Everton v City Live Thread
Let's be honest if we had taken our chances in the first half it would have been 3-1. Jovetic is a dead man walking and I think he knows that. Navas we all can't understand why he is first name on MPs team but we deal with it.
14 unbeaten in the league though, tough couple of games up next though, but win both those and we are top

I guess the saving grace is we will have Vinny and hopefully, Sergio back nearing his peak.
Guess we are all disappointed we didn't get the 3 points, but as BB said, we have been on a great unbeaten run...we just need to start to convert the numerous chances we keep creating. 2 points behind Chelsea, into the CL last 16, still in the FA Cup....Aguero and Vinny coming back, possibility of getting Bony and TLF for Feb....it could be worse considering we were 9 point off Chelsea 6 weeks ago...AND looking like the CL had gone for us.
Never wished to see Dzeko fit as much as now!!

We are still in a good position, similar to last year. There's a few things that frustrate me and I'm sure some of them frustrate most of us. When Chelsea come to our place and beat us by tactically outplaying us, then I can take it on the chin. But when we have chance after chance and can't even shoot on target, when we have a fast winger that won't or can't take on his man or corners that don't get past the first defender or when we get exposed at the back, then I'm not happy.

Guess we can all agree with that.
I just wish Navas would look UP, before the ball is played to him. He receives the ball and the first time pass would expose their defence, but he seems to always want to have an extra touch, THEN look up and cross it straight at a defender, who has then got themselves into a position to block the cross.
Thought our corners were much better today though. Less of the near post and more to the penalty spot and back post.
However, today was a game crying out for Milner's 90 mins of energy as Nasri flagged after 60 mins and Navas run out of ideas.
Anyone know why he was dropped/rested etc? Injured? Rested? About to be sold, so MP was making a point???????????'

In the good old days, players never used to get so injured. Martinez has hamstring problems over at Everton just like he used to have at Wigan. I think some managers train the players too hard.
