City vs Arsenal - Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
Ok...so no Nasri today. Team? For me:
..........................................Hart............................................
Zaba...................Vinny.......................Manga.................Clichy..
...............................Fernando..........Fernandinho......................
Navas.................................Silva............................Milner.......
.........................................Aguero.........................................
Navas and Milner can track both Sanchez and Walcott/Oxe out wide and Manga has the height with Vinny to challenge Giroud in the air.
The two DFM's will need to pick up Ramsey's runs and we need to start very quickly against them and press them high up the pitch - no slow tippy tappy crap, get the ball quickly into Sergio and Silva's feet and press them with pace.

How to change things??? We aren't really using the wings the way we normally do. When he's had the ball, Navas is his usual self. I can see Arsenal scoring again, we've given them enough ball in our half to do so.

Once again, it looks like our guys think they just need to turn up and they'll win.

Another masterclass by our stubburn tactically inept manager.
Looks like a complete baffled fool in the stands. He probably hasnt a clue how Arse Whinger with 36% possession is screwing him over.
Expect nothing tactical from MP we know half time team reshuffle and talks have opposite effect, our only hope is Kun as usual.

We've hardly given Kun a chance to dig us out of the shit.

"Over the past couple of seasons I have noticed City start slowly before then tending to lift it in the second half. I do expect them to ask much more of Arsenal after the break. Maybe Manuel Pellegrini will consider moving David Silva out wide, or bringing on Edin Dzeko or Stevan Jovetic, with Sergio Aguero coming a bit deeper."
Why do we keep on starting slowly?

Bet that will do a lot of good for the contract negotiations...

Re: City vs Arsenal - Live Thread
Watched about 4 mins of the game as I'm cooking Sunday dinner....but my lads have been watching it on the projector in the living room....and they've both said - get one of the DFM's off as they're not even doing a defensive job, never mind getting Silva into the game.
Heard it was a little harsh for the pen, but as per usual, give the ball to Navas and he'll do one of two things:
1...cut back and give it to someone else
2...attempt a cross and it'll no doubt hit an opposing player
MP needs to earn his corn at HT by all accounts. Will be watching the 2nd half more...but it's just typical of us and MP to not get the team up for a game we need to win.
Jovetic on for Milner???

Don't think Jovetic will change much for us. Really miss YaYa - and probably Nasri too. No excuses though - we have to find a way. Think Coquelin and Cazorla have been brilliant for them. Hate their strip though - look like Batman outfits - too tight and those awful waspy socks.

We're far too predictable and Dimi keeps making mistakes.

Why on earth do we have to keep fouling players when they are going nowhere?

This is better though, Arsenal are letting us play, no way will it end 0-1. Super Frank for me.

Corner number 8. Any chance we'll create something from this?

That is simply bollocks. Getting all we deserve today I'm afraid. Massive game next week now. Could end up miles away in the title race.

As you've said before PSG, Manuel isn't good enough. We're shit at the back.

Trouble is we are only 5 ahead of Southampton again now. As much as I hate to say it we are really missing TLF. Lets hope the don't get out the group.
