Give them a chance

We have an academy second to none, they are pulling up trees at every age group but the only constant theme we see in the first team is the same 2nd rate journeymen whenever the manager,be it Mancini Pellegrini or Guardiola, decides to rest the first choice players for a cup competition they decide is not a priority.
If it's not a priority then why on earth do my eyes have to bleed watching the appalling Navas kick the ball at the fullbacks shins,Fernando act like a puppy chasing a balloon or the utterly atrocious Delph who reminds me of players Frank Clark brought into the club
We have so many really decent young prospects that should be miles ahead of this fodder when the opportunity arises but they never get a sniff.
I hope Patrick Roberts stays at Celtic as he's no chance of a career at City with this way of thinking

Most of us were lucky enough to be able to watch that guff in the comfort of our homes. Several thousand fans have to fork out a fair few quid and suffer the cold.

Rich is bang on. The players that aren't going to be around next season shouldn't have been near that team. I'd rather have had Jadon Sancho playing instead of Navas. He couldn't have been any worse and I reckon he'd have been a damn sight better.

100% agree
Diaz scored a hat trick tutha day. Surely Pep can introduce 1 or 2 players for games such as yesterday and start giving the youngsters 20 mins in league games
Mike Summerbee could do a better job on the wing than Navas Why is he still at the club Kin awful player

No manager of ours really wants to introduce kids for 20 minutes in league games. They aren't even on the bench these days. Maybe Itchy and Garcia are the only ones from the academy. Players like nolito and navas need to know that they'll be dropped for the kids if they don't perform.
