LCFC sack Ranieri
Absolute bonkers....well done to all of the PL winning footballers who got massive contracts on the back of last season, then decided to not give a flying fuck this season. Now it;s got your PL wining Manager the sack.
Footballers......bunch on mercenaries on the whole. They should be totally ashamed of themselves.

Re: LCFC sack Ranieri
Just heard Frank Sinclair on TS....and they asked him about players not playing for the Manager and he said "never". "They play for themselves" and he had heard plenty of players in showers talking about 'if they are relegated, where they will try to go next season'
Well to me, that's not playing for the Manager and being a fucking mercenary.
I really hope they go down too.....disgraceful.
Agree with the English Nolito (R Savage) when he said "sack Ranieri? They should be erecting a statue of him outside the stadium".......owners, they really don't know when they have had something so good.
The likes of Mahrez, Drinkwater, Vardy, Morgan, etc all getting massive BMW's by the owner and massive new contracts that doubled/trebled their wages....and they play like fucking pub team players to honour that - and the Manager gets sacked because of it?
Leicester's fairy tale has been admonished because of what the owners have done and the players are to blame. Disgraceful.

Re: LCFC sack Ranieri
They should have at least let him play the 2nd leg of the CL.
There's so many teams that I want to go down now.
Palace, Sunderland, Leicester, Hull, West Ham, Utd.

I'd like them all to go down Oz. Let's see Oldham and Rochdale promoted to the PL

Just read that the players went to the board after they lost the other night and complained about Ranieri.
What an bunch of utter wankers. Pretty much the same team as last season but without Kante, and they are complaining???

They weren't doing the business and blaming Ranieri was the easy way out.
The board should have told Ranieri who came to complain and they should have been ostracised. Play with the kids rather than those gits.

And it will be those players first out the door in May when they do go down as they think they are now in the superstar bracket, only for a fluke of a season. Lets face it they are where they should have been last season.
They have gone to the top of my relegated list. I despise Everton Fans more than Spurs but it is a close call. However they are all 1000 miles away from Scum, 95% you simply want to punch in the face

Looks like we are on a par blistering in terms of teams we want to see relegated.

Re: LCFC sack Ranieri
I agree Oz...EFC fans are unbearable....got a few friends who support them and all they ever talk about is 'any mistake' from John Stones and now he's worthless and how they hated him anyway.
TBF, I only really know one Spurs fan (testament to their support) and he's OK. He was going mental last night and is normally fairly objective.
Rags are just rags, they're all fucking delusional.
Dippers just live on past glory, guess that's all they have in recent years.

Kasper tweets a thank you to Ranieri.....
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/2951563/claudio-ranieri-sacked-leicester-city-players/
And was 1 of 4 players who met with the board 4 times complaining over Ranieri...
Well it looks like everyone has turned on the players and board - I've only read one piece, by that melon at The Mirror Darren Lewis, who thinks it was the right thing to do.

Sorry, but as far as i'm concerned he deservedly got the sack. He lost his best player (Kante) at the beginning of the season and never replaced him, never added any players to build on his team and remained far too loyal to his over-achievers......and paid the price.

Re: LCFC sack Ranieri
So he deserved the sack for not replacing Kante? One player?
As for being loyal, who else could he have played? They have a small squad. I think this article by Jamie Carragher hits the nail on the head. They are where they should be and going down isn't always a bad thing.

Maybe the owners (if they've got that much money to spend £500k on wine whilst chatting about sacking Ranieri), should've told the players to fuck off and get pulling their fingers out and working harder on the pitch for the Manager and the fans.

He deserves the sack for not strengthening the squad. They were in the CL, on a roll that they needed to continue and could have attracted lots of players, but they never did....and who did they get in in January to arrest the slide they were on?...no-one.
If "they are where they should be", then is that not the perfect reason to have improved and strengthened the squad then?
I do agree that the players have to take a lot of the responsibility for the position they're in, but it's upto the manager to motivate and if necessary replace them.....as it'll be him that'll get the bullet.

Re: LCFC sack Ranieri
As a fan I would be alarmed if city were in that form & in danger of being relegated. we have been in that position before. In most instances we sacked the manager, rightly or wrongly the bigger picture is to be stable & reasonably in Leicester's case, successful. I think the timing is wrong they should have waited till at least after the sevilla second leg. A win there could have been a big shot in the arm.
Ranieri still leaves with a lot of dignity & is as usual forever the gentleman.

Re: LCFC sack Ranieri
I just think that there's no guarantee that if Leicester bring in another Manager, they will stay up. Sam Allardyce and Palace?
Palace have spent £75m this season, brought in Allardyce who is the King of Keeping Clubs Up, yet look like they will definitely go down. So bringing in a Manager and spending fortunes, doesn't guarantee you anything.
As for Leicester spending, they've spent £67m on players. They did well to keep Vardy and Mahrez, both of who'm could easily have gone to bigger clubs, but decided to stay, so I'm not sure Ranieri is to blame for the transfers. Nobody would have thought after last season, that the players form would drop to this level - so why overspend on players to sit on the bench, as you wouldn't have dropped most of the team that finished lasts season.
It's all about opinions I guess....and there have been Leicester fans who think it's the right thing to do.
