City v Huddersfield - Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
Can see a strong team tonight, but got a feeling Bravo will start.
So for me:
Bravo
Sagna, Stones, Otamendi, Clichy
Fernandinho
Sterling, KDB, TLMLF, Sane
Aguero

Huddersfield not a bad team. I like their style of football hope they join Brighton & Newcastle in the Prem next season.

I've been quietly following them ever since Mooy signed for them. They've impressed me.
Remember, this is pretty much their 2nd team.

what will hudds do 2nd half? Do they fall back and accept the defeat or go for it and get battered?

dependent on who we play they should be getting battered either way if we go for the kill properly?

Shite keeping from Bravo for the goal, but wank marking.
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant bit of skill by Sterling for Sane's goal....most attacks in the box in Europe!!
Clear penalty, after their first handball was a clear one - well taken by Sergio.
Great to see Zab get on the score sheet.
Unlucky by Sane for the one that hit the post, Sergio should have scored the one he hit the post on....no penalty for the 2nd handball.....but the first, would that have been a 2nd yellow???
Garcia needs to grab this game by the scruff of the neck....he won't get more space on the ball than he has done tonight. Come on kid.....show us what you can do!!
3-1, we'd have taken that at HT......but we should be 5/6-1 up here......come on!!!!

I don't think Garcia has not done too bad. He's grown into the game.

Billings, MOM? BBC, are you shitting me? He played 65 mins of a game that he lost 5-1 in. I'm all for biggin up young players, but MOM???? Â Typical BBC bias, they are so gutted we battered Hudds.
Thought Sterling was immense...and Sergio.

Well that just summed up the BBC.....cut Pep and the interviewer off mid-sentence, to listen to Alan Shearer and Kevin Kilbane for an extra 3 mins.....

Re: City v Huddersfield - Live Thread
saving Pep for the internet and they were running out of time. No probs for me.
Love Pep when he says the final balls should have been better after we score 5, hit the woodwork a couple of times, have some penalty shouts turned down and Pep focuses on the final ball (and how good Clownio was with his feet!)

Decent enough performance against Hudds reserves
Clownio did himself no favours. Sterling very good once again. Pleased for Itchy. Sergios back - Do I put him back in my FF team. That is the main question

TBF, thought his passing out from the back was excellent....regardless of his calamitous saving......
And yes, the final ball on several occasions, was poor.....but 5-1, we can't really complain.

Does Pep actually care if the goalie can actually make a save or not?
I wouldn't put Aguero back until after the Sunderland game

Re: City v Huddersfield - Live Thread
His passing from the back was good but a better team would have put us under more pressure and we would probably have conceded more. He had one 1/2 decent shot to stop, from what I remember and he couldnt even stop that. He's wank & shouldnt play any more games ahead of Willy, now we are at the business end of the season.

Re: City v Huddersfield - Live Thread
Speculation Tony. All what if's.
I said, in a previous post at HT, shite keeping from Bravo for the goal.....but my point was, his passing was excellent throughout the game. We can't surmise about what 'could' happen against another team....we can only judge on what did happen. We could say - "against a better team, Sane, Sterling and Aguero wouldn't get that space that they did"...we can only judge on what they did.
I dislike Bravo in net as much as the next City fan....see my posts earlier in the season, but I'm not going to judge him on previous performances against what he did tonight. His passing was excellent....that's a fact. His mistake was shit for their goal....that's a fact.

This is the keeper you're judging Bravo against. If Bravo made these mistakes, you'd be slating him.

Re: City v Huddersfield - Live Thread
That first one is extremely harsh I think. He tried to hit the ball away and it bounced off the attacker. He was very brave going in for it and was unlucky.

Re: City v Huddersfield - Live Thread
Huddersfield played too open for their own good. Boro won't play that way and they'll play their first team. We'll have Silva back for that though which will only help us.
