Transfer Round up

Post by blueboy on Wed Mar 08, 2017 9:04 am

Isco?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3033322/isco-manchester-city-pep-guardiola-confident-beaten-chelsea-juventus-30m-real-madrid-ace/

Wilshere - no thanks.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/03/07/pep-guardiola-wants-buy-english-create-solid-manchester-city/

Alli - yes please, Pickford? He was awful with his distribution, so why would we want him?

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-city-transfer-dele-alli-12706941

Funny how all these English rumours come out, the day after Pep gave MCFC that interview where he said he would like English players.....problem is, he then went on to say "but they are far too expensive". Rolling Eyes

I'd rather Gunn was given a chance as his kicking is decent, than spend £25m on Pickford.

All these players have been mentioned before Pep's interview, but they are dragged out again.

I heard that Gunn was going on loan next season.

Cant see the Spuds ever selling Alli to us...or Rose.

Pickford and Wilshite....no thanks.

Isco would be a decent signing though....as would Bellerin.

Just no to Alli...
he has one of those faces you wouldn't tire of slapping...

he's a dirty little bleeder too, just not somebody I would want at our club..

and them sodding hand-jive efforts him and Kane are doing makes me cringe..

Alli has a fantastic goal scoring record since he started. I think it's better than 1 in 3 games. And he's probably provided a few assists.

And he's young enough to get him to change for the better.

Spurs don't need to sell so they won't. Unless we offer £80M which we won't.

I'd have Alli every day of the week. He's an excellent player who is an 8/10 - 9 games out of 10. He ticks all the boxes. English, young, skillful, energy, goals, assists......if we were going to spend £40m+ on Isco, I'd rather we spent another £40m and got Alli.....do a Bale and offer something that they can't turn down.

23 goals in 59 league appearances for Spurs. That's very good going. He's got 12 assists too.

The only way you get Ali is by offering ridiculous money or by turning his head. But you'd still have to pay silly money to get him. I think he'd be at least £60M.

Makes me wonder what the scouts do sometimes. Deli Ali was fantastic at MK Dons. They were all raving about him being a big star. Think I mentioned it on here a couple of seasons ago once or twice Razz how we should go for him. Spuds got him for an absolute snip, something like 5 million. Now we are talking about 60 million  Very Happy
Would definitely have him at City but no way Spuds will sell to a rival. In fact cant see them selling anyone at the moment They are the strongest they have been for many a year and have a good chance of getting 3rd behind us, so if anything Id imagine theyl be improving on what they got & not selling their better players

Pretty sure Isco turned us down a couple of seasons ago and he hasnt had much 1st team action since then, so I cant see him being that good so no thanks

As for the rest Wilshere Pickford etc.. No thanx.. We can do a lot better

They said that about Bale Tony....granted, he went to Real Madrid, but £60-80m is a lot of money and very hard to turn down, especially if the player looks at it and thinks "I'd like to work with Pep"...

Let's not forget the draw of working with the best Manager in world football....we can't underestimate his pull. Yes, Pochettino is a decent Manager, but if the likes of Ath Madrid, Juve, Barca even, came calling, he'd leave Spurs.

I'd Barca or Madrid came, he'd be off like a shot. Maybe levy would do a deal so that he stayed one more year like Modric and Bale did.

Isco is a top top player & at 30 million being quoted id take him definitely. If Real hadn't turned his head he would have signed for us. It was all to do with his father & at 21 staying in spain.

Isco has it tough with Modric, Bale, Benzema, Rodriguez, Ronaldo in the team ahead of him.

It won't be any easier to get into the city side

I'm not so sure Isco is a PL player. I liked him in the past, but watching him lately, he's a bit slow for the PL game.....I'd swerve him for someone quicker.
