Soton vs City
Guess we'll just have to stick with Navas at RB...
Bravo
Navas, Kompany, Stones, Kolarov
Delph
Sterling, KdB, Silva, Sane
Aguero

I thought he did all right at RB, can't we get Willy back in goal though?

Re: Soton vs City
Navas has been badly out of position a few times playing there. Are people saying he is offering us more than Zabba?

Re: Soton vs City
Personally, I thought he's done OK at wing back. As for mistakes....I'm not sure we can be too critical of him making the odd mistake considering how poor we've been in the FB positions this season. He does offer us pace and with Betrand, he'll at least keep up, where Zaba could get seriously skinned.
I'll go for this:
Willy
Stones, Vinny, Kolorov
Navas, Fernandinho, KDB, Silva, Sane
Sterling, Aguero

Re: Soton vs City
No way will KDB stay on the bench for another match. That means either Sterling or Sane....and I'd rather have both of them, so it's a choice of dropping Silva for Delph or playing Delph in Fernandinho's place, and I can't see that away from home.

Team News:
Bravo
Navas, Kompany, Ota, Clichy
Ferna, KDB, TLMLF, Silva, Sane
Aguro
So, TLMLF squeezed in instead of Raheem? He better pull his bloody finger out today!

So 11 outfield players again with that moron in goal. Feel sorry for Delph, unless he has a knock its an odd decision

Calm down people...can't see Delph not playing if he was fit. Clearly, must have a knock.
I'm more pissed off that TLMLF is in over Sterling!

I'm not particularly bothered Blue, its more Bravo that baffles me. I still don't think sterling is 100%. Big chance for Vinnie again.

Re: Soton vs City
Classic example of why 'some' fans bemoan Pep. Aguero, 8 yards out, can't make the keeper make a save.
Far too many chances missed that we've created time and time again during games....but if we draw or lose this game, the usual blame will be laid at Pep's door for picking Navas as a RB...
Take our chances FFS!!!!

Re: Soton vs City
Think the ref got that spot on....hate to say it, but I'm sure Forster got fingertips to that.
Just a shame, we can't take our chances. Get lazy bollocks off...I can pass a ball sideways 45 times a game. Get Sterling on.

I might be wrong....but I'm almost certain Forster got fingertips to that....if so, good decision by the ref, even though he is a cock-womble!
They've made some shocking tackles....
Get Sane running at their full backs and get Sterling on!

Re: Soton vs City
think foster got 10% of the ball & 90% sane if sane had been able to stay on his feet round the keeper goal. You have to say foster by just touching the ball also had a tug at sane's ankle & consequence was he brought him down so in the laws of athe game sane was impeded so penalty for me. No Booking for Bertrand raking his studs down Sergio's Achilles. Was lucky that was not worse.
Problem I see is we break far to slowly & methodically in one passage of play we strung together about 30 passes to go from the left back position on the halfway line to the right wing just in from the corner quadrant back to the left back on the halfway line position. In that time not one attempt at looking for an opening forward a loose pass from sane ended the move they had 2 passes forward & we were caught out fortunately Otamendi saved the day. they made more yards in 2 passes than we did in thirty?
When we did break quickly our decision making is wrong Aguero had the chance to knock a quick thru ball to KDB & he was in on goal. Aguero decides to try & beat the last man loses it & the attack breaks down.
It is bloody frustrating that we cant be more clinical & decisive & when an opening exists pull the trigger dave & KDB both guilty of the extra pass that wasn't needed.
Otamendi & Kompany have looked ok but Kompany needs to watch going through the back of players he will end up in the book b4 the end of the match.
Come on City give us something to cheer about in the 2nd half

Re: Soton vs City
Got to say bar the early chance defence has been great today. Vinnie can't be a coincidence in that? If he is fit he must play.

Re: Soton vs City
Great defensive display all round....but I guess some will still mock Pep's choice for Navas at RB and Bravo in net.
2 saves by Bravo....guess that fucks up the stat-obsessed experts that only see what the other lemmings see - and dismiss what Pep see's.
Well done boys....great display today. Patient, clinical - in the end....
MOTM?....Navas, Vinny or Otamendi for me.

Re: Soton vs City
Bravo in net? Didn't you see the fucking awful pass he made to one of their players? As some on BT Sport said, it's not worth the risk.
Navas appeared to have done ok, but Southampton didn't do all that much in attack.
I think everyone on here, except for the odd one person, sees a keeper that can't save much.
At least Kompany had a good game.

Really didnt see it ending 3-0, but nothing to complain about there & I thought Navas was was pretty solid.

So.....how harsh with your words will you be for Aguero? He was garbage until his headed goal....but I guess that doesn't matter - as comments are not objective. We pick out a keeper for 1, yes 1 pass and jump all over what some fuckwits on BT Sports say......didn't hear any of them slag off Forster for being weak with Kompany's header.......oh no, can't be the keepers fault as he's not Chilean and on the end of shit week in week out!! #lemmings

Bollocks....did you watch the game??? Another comment made to justify the negativity around another player......it'd be nice to just admit that some were wrong and comment with an objective view on the performances, rather than trying to justify a previous stance that berates the Manager's choice......3-0....but some will still look for an angle to complain rather than praise the players and Pep.

Saved 2 shots out of 2....screwed your stats up today!!
today.
At least Kompany had a good game.
What a token comment.....cheers for that insight into today's game Dawg....."at least Kompany had a good game"......FFS!
