Otamendi had a decent game. Still likes diving on though. Kompany was decent too but shouldn't have given that free kick away

Otamendi had 3 tackles 1 on 1 in the area as last man never dived in & won every one. The only time he got it wrong was trying to be first to a header near the half way line but was too far underneath it & could only help it on its way towards our goal but we had adequate cover. His covering was excellent & he seemed to head out virtually every cross that came into our box that was defended.

Agree Oz...and I couldn't have imagined him being consistent. Thought he was excellent last week as well.
What I have noticed is the way Kompany sits deep...adding more cover to pick up the pieces, something Stones needs to learn to do if we are going to play this way.

Which free kick, the one that led to their second goal?  Watch that back, Vinny hardly even touched Welbeck!  There were many, much worse fouls than that (from both sides) that weren't even penalised.

I haven't seen the highlights and yes, he hardly touched him, but he gave him the opportunity to fall over because he got tricked. Maybe I'm being harsh but Welbeck did him too easily.

Yeah, he did a bit.  I suspect Welbeck was "doing an Ozil".  Honestly, Marty Feldman spent more time on his back than a cheap whore, and the ref fell for it every single time.

The ref was diabolical. So many 'hard hits' from behind went unpunished, especially early on. Get a couple of deserved yellow cards early on and that has an impact on the game and maybe, just maybe, Silva and Aguero don't get injured.

And the lino was guessing that the cross went out. Guessing isn't good enough. They don't guess on so many throw in decisions, even when they are near the incident, and leave it up to the ref but he felt he needed to guess this one.

Same linesman who missed the Walker push on Raheem in the spuds match too.   The club must at least demand he never has any involvement in city games in the future not that it gets us anything for Sunday.
