City v Leicester - Live Thread
Another early KO today. Should be a tighter game than last week.
Seems Stones and Aguero may be back, but can only see them getting a place on the bench. Can see a similar team to last week to start.

Zabaleta:Â "Whatever happens at the end of the season, one thing for sure is my heart will be here and my love for this club is massive. My son was also born here and he's a little Manc! As a player, I've given everything and I love Manchester as a city and I've had my best moments as a player here at the club.
"I'm still 32 and can still give a couple more years more I'm sure, because when you have the passion inside you carry on. The day I cannot feel something inside of myself and I cannot give my all I'll say: 'finished'. As you have to be mature and well prepared for anything."

Jesus....please lets hope Pep is reading the hundreds of comments by City fans on Social Media, who are all calling for 1 more season for Zaba - so at least we can give him a testimonial.
Legends don't come along often....but he is definitely a City legend.

They are a low level team and we should be stuffing them.

Let's hope so...we certainly owe them one.....but they'll sit deep and try to frustrate us. The key again, will be getting an early goal.

Interesting stat on SS1....
Since 2012...we've got 3 less points than Chelsea who are 1st in the PL and have a played one more game than us....today, a win, and we'd have accumulated the same amount of points as Chelsea in 1st. Also, we've scored 37 more goals than any other team since 2012 excluding today.
Why have we won only 2 PL titles in that time?

Because we can't defend as good as Chelsea and, I'm guessing here, we don't have such a good record against the top 4(6). We've been show ponies where they have been workhorses getting the job done. We've been about possession and pretty football and they've been about winning games whatever it takes.

And this season they have played a lot less games than both us & every other team in the top 6 due to no European football. Going further back I've noticed that Chelsea have always been lucky with injuries.

Playing devil's advocate then...how have we won 2 PL titles out of the last 5, not being about winning games whatever it takes? We're still playing the same type of attacking football we did when we won our 1st PL title.

Without looking, how many goals did we let in when we won it the first time?
