City in for a new LB?

Post by Topdawg on Fri Aug 11, 2017 9:17 am

http://www.mcfcwatch.com/2017/08/11/fernandinho-reveals-manchester-city-transfer-plan-and-its-not-a-striker-or-centre-back/

But do we really need another LB when we have Danilo who can play there? If the LB was English/HG then that might make a difference, but you'd have thought Pep would have made his move a long time ago, especially after Alves went to PSG.

Maybe it's because Mendy is injured and Pep doesn't want to risk it?

Zinchenko did OK to be fair when he was covering there in pre-season..

I don't rate Zinchenko....don't think he's strong enough. I'd be surprised if he's still here by 31st Aug.

If we need cover, we should just buy a LB and do away with this 'temp cover' - a la Fernandino at RB etc.

I think we should go for another Left back or right back. Reason being as you say Danillo can cover but what if he gets injured? You then lose cover for RB, LB & DM.

Pep has apparently told Fernandinho that he won't be used at FB again
