Cant believe he gets away with staying on every game, what are Platt and Kidd doing? I think we are weaker with him on when he is obvious so bollocksed! Taking off our most influential player and leaving on a big knackered lump is asking for trouble!
Re: Why doesn't Yaya ever get subbed?
"Lazy lump of shite."
Having a languid style doesn't necessarily equal being lazy. I agree he shouldn't be lying on the pitch after a chance has gone begging and play has continued. But that's more of an idiosyncracy than laziness and I'm confident the coaching staff have mentioned it to him.
YaYa is playing well, but then again the team is playing well, not just as a unit but also individually. It's the first time in a very long time we're not weak in any position. At the moment there isn't anyone out there in sky blue not pulling their weight.
The negative stance taken regarding YaYa on this site is both mystifying and disappointing.

i want us to get better and better.
when Yaya is knackered, take him off. He doesn't always deserve to start. When Hargreaves is back to full fitness, I can see Hargreaves and NDJ playing behind the attacking four.
I love the way Yaya surges past people - he certainly has pace when he needs it. Just that the pace tends to be used going forwards rather than coming back!

You should take it out on the manager not the player...

When he's knackered? He's not as knackered as he appears a lot of the time. And of course he deserves to start, he's playing well at the moment.
I don't get it, 'dawg. You must know this already and I feel like I'm condescending to you which is not my intention. The thing is, YaYa's forward runs are accounted for back in the dressing room. When he goes, you'll notice another player tuck in (Roberto gesticulates wildly if this isn't happening quick enough). They already know YaYa will be caught upfield and he won't get back at full pace. They WANT him to do that.
Listen, I know it's scary when the opposition break but we're set up to deal with this eventuality. Just relax, mate, they know what they're doing.

Don't get me wrong disaster, i absolutely love those surging runs. people say he hasn't got pace are barking up the wrong tree. he has pace when he surges forwards with the ball - just see how he brushed vidic aside at wembley - and he has pace went bursting into the box.
maybe it is his demeanour at times. we, as fans, want to see our players busting a gut going forwards as well as backwards.
maybe some of my criticism should be directed at the manager who retains him late in matches when we may need to be a tad more defensive at times. if we are getting opened up so easily that is more the fault of the manager as he picks the players.
maybe our desire, as fans, to play more attacking football has rubbed off on Bobby (doubt it) and that style can leave us susceptible to the counter attack.
i want it all. i want us to score hatfuls each match without letting any goals in!

Yaya rarely gets past the 70 min mark in games without being totally fucked.I've never understood why Milner doesn't take over from him after an hour or so

I agree with PPLF..
for all the Yaya fan-boies.. yep I fully agree he deserves his starting place. but for the love of god, can we not sub him on 60-70 minutes to give some fresh legs a run out in the midfield.
Fulham managed to capitalise on us firstly going a tad defensive, but also becoming heavy legged in the centre mid towards the end of the game.
Milner wasn't available for that game minds..

Re: Why doesn't Yaya ever get subbed?
I feel like I'm taking fucking crazy pills...
He doesn't look any more or less tired than anyone else after 70 mins.
Against Fulham - a game we would have won but for a foul on Dzeko not given in the lead up to their equalizer - he was pushed forward in the final stages of the game, a positional change that put the pressure back on the Fulham defence. Agreed, it was too little too late but we nearly pinched the 3 points.
Nasri should have come off, not Silva.
Don't start that "fan-boi" shit with me. All I did was jump in to give some balance - like I did for Lescott - when I felt the abuse wasn't justified. I've got no fucking preference for any one player.
But don't worry, YaYa will be off to the African cup soon and you'll get your fucking wish.
