Delph injured AGAIN
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41472342
He performed really well on Saturday, but he just isn't reliable we should get rid while we would still get a decent transfer fee for him

Whooah.....get rid? That's a bit harsh considering he's being assessed along with Henderson, Kane, Jones, Sturridge....
Give him a chance, it's hardly like he's broke down and is definitely out for 2 months.
Would I rather him played? No. Save him for City - we need him as cover.

Re: Delph injured AGAIN
He was good enough on Saturday to keep Danilo out of the team. We dont need to sell anyone & we would only get peanuts for him anyway. Very hard to find squad players of his level & versatility. Lets wait & see what the injury is first, hopefully just enough to keep him out of the England team & fresh for Stoke.

From City Watch:
"At this time, there are no further updates on what the issue is, but there is no indication it is anything serious or it is unlikely that he would have joined up with the England camp."

But I am not so sure I am wrong. Delph has a history of playing 1 or 2 games then going missing for a few months

Re: Delph injured AGAIN
After his last two performances - we have to keep him - so impressed with him v Chelsea and his goal last week was a stunner. City were absolutely irresistible on Saturday - just did everything right (thanks Pep). Silva and Kev were immense - and I think so was Delph. Still watching bits of it even tonight.
Anybody watch Ian Cheeseman's vlogs on YouTube of the recent matches?

Re: Delph injured AGAIN
Personally I think he has done the complete opposite to Vinnie, yes he has a niggle but knows he has a potential 9 month run in the team he is forsaking the international football for this. He will be playing in the next match.
I see all the rumours of Vinnie retiring from International Football after the World Cup, he needs to be careful, he may not have a city career at that point.

Strange thing is he played a full 90mins without problems & then didnt train, but hopefully its just a minor knock.

Re: Delph injured AGAIN
They tend to feel slight pulls the next day. Lukaku looks like he'll be out for the Belgium Internationals as well...hope it's a bit more serious than Delph's! Den will have to find his extra points somewhere else!

Have you got a link about the Lukaku injury? Nothing on the BBc site.

Re: Delph injured AGAIN
Bluey you only have to google "Ian Cheeseman vlog Manchester City". Great footage of fans before and after the games.

Re: Delph injured AGAIN
I know, hence why I post it after every live thread Wensdi....I'm assuming all BMF members now know of it, but others, which there's plenty, who look at the forum as guests, may not know or see it.Wensdi wrote:Bluey you only have to google "Ian Cheeseman vlog Manchester City". I tweeted Cheeseman and he said he'll post a link to tonight's podcast with Dickov and Pickering....so I'll post it when it's done....but I'm assuming you already know about this.

Re: Delph injured AGAIN
Sounds like Kevin is not training due to a hamstring issue. They say it's not serious, but ...

Re: Delph injured AGAIN
Pep has also been seen walking a bit funny although probably not his hamstring:
