WBA v City - Live Thread
First topic message reminder :
So...what's everyone hoping for in the United v Spurs game? A battering for the rags would be hilarious. A win for them, not so much. A draw would good, as long as we take advantage of that later this afternoon.
Will Sergio start and finally get his 178th goal?
Let's hope we can get back to some dazzling football. The last 2 games haven't been great...but we won both.
I can see WBA doing what Burnley and Wolves did. Sit with a 6-man defence, 3 in MF and a lone striker...and let us have the ball. That means we need to make sure we get width, drag them across the pitch and them have a quick change of direction, get in behind in the spaces and take our chances when they come.
Don't give them easy free kicks around our area....be disciplined when they have the ball, but break quickly using our pace against their slow CB's when we win it back.
Any streams...please post them on this thread.

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
Just sloppy again....we don't want that shite running into our game.
Just play the best team from the start....
Garbage today.
No surprise....Burnley we were average. Wolves we were poor.
Today...again, average.
Taking risks Pep.....but we got away with it.
I'd much rather we had Sergio on the pitch and Sterling than gambling with another ball-playing, sideways passer like Bernardo. He doesn't create anything in the game.
Poor today. A wins a win....3 points, but in a game where we totally dominated.....we got lazy at the back and that's not good.

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
I think they all had one eye on the Napoli game & were conserving energy. At least Aguero will be fresh for that one. At the end of the day 3 points is 3 points & I dont see anyone overturning our goal difference. On the plus side Sterling was on form & the best player in the 2nd half.

Sanchez would have been perfect for today's game. Give Sergio a rest for Napoli, without having to compromise with a good player in Bernardo....but one who creates absolutely nothing during a game.

Incredible performance.
Now...if the FA are as good as they think they are......
We have U20, U18 and now U17 World and European champions.
No excuses....and thank you to Pep for allowing Super Phil to play in the Semi and Final....unlike the money-grabbing Sancho.

Everyone will be banging on his agent’s door now. He can still leave us at the end of the season for peanuts. He has to get some decent game time. Or feel confident the promises will be kept. And I can see us offering him a hefty new contract

Re: WBA v City - Live Thread
Absolutely.....Pep told him to stay and play in this tournament. He has his best interest at heart.....and I'm sure Foden knows that. A big contract coming his way next week...and well deserved.
Our friend Ben Woodburn signed his full contract for LFC this week...made for life.

5 yr deal. Must be at least 20k pw. Now he’s got all the money he needs in life, he can just focus on being the best player he can be. Nice
