Delph and Sterling out of the England squad...
We just need Stones and Walker to pull out now, then Jesus, Silva, KDB, Sane and Aguero.....then it'll be happy days.

Re: Delph and Sterling out of the England squad...
there was a discussion about this on TS this morning, and they brought up one intersting idea and swiftly moved on from it..
with all the 'established' internationals pulling out of the squad, we're calling up a right load of carp to replace them, why not dip into the under 21's, u20's and u17's for a couple of youngsters for caps?
Are you telling me Foden wouldn't do as good a job in midfield as Dier and Livermore? (even Henderson has pulled out)..
Demari Gray, Calvert-Lewin, Foden, Sancho, Brewster?
got to be worth a shot, even have them on the bench rather than some guys not fit to lace the boots of the brazil team?

Totally agree.
However, who the f**k wants to pay £100 per ticket to go to London (another £75 for the train fare), to sit with a load of tourists watching a friendly match?
Get the games on the road around the country and let kids from the Midlands and up North watch England, rather than overseas visitors!

I would have taken Foden into the squad. He’s on top of hebqorld at the moment and the other kids need to see they’ve got a great chance if they play well.

With all this clamour for a winter break, the FA. Could really help out the England national team by having no international friendly matches in November and call this a winter break. The other international players can go and get knackered but the England players get a rest!!!!!

I think Fifa dictates when the international weekends are, so they have to arrange matches for them, not sure we can lay this one with the FA.

The FA can just choose not to have international friendlies. England players rested. All other international players can go play and get knackered.

It's all down to paying off the white elephant. Taking it around the country would lose them between £2-4m, hence why they always add as many possible friendlies in any break. There is no reason to have friendlies right now, 4 weeks after a 2 week qualifying break. They will learn nothing in these two friendlies, 9 months before a World Cup ffs! We all know that Southgate will have 22 players that will definitely go to the WC, and they'll be 10 players vying for a place in the squad.
It's a fucking joke. Most of the players who WILL be in the starting 11 for most matches next summer, could easily have a weeks break somewhere warm. This will help the clubs and the players with a long winter ahead, but no, they'd rather them be knackered come the tournament....FA, run by fuckiwts, managed by one.
Who cares, except travelling tourists or Londoners, about 2 friendlies in Nov?
He may as well draft in 3 or 4 of the U17's to play...as they will be 18 next summer and could easily stake a place if it's all about the future!!
