The FA picking and choosing who to punish...
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/4866070/arsene-wenger-fa-punishment-raheem-sterling-dive/
This basically gives all Managers the licence to call any player a cheat, if the result doesn't go their way - and the FA can't do a single thing about it.

No surprise that the vote after the article was 61% in favour of Sterling being a good diver rather than Wenger talking rubbish

Surely his comments regarding the standard of officiating in games at the Etihad when Arsenal play us is tantamount to bringing the game into
disrepute for implying that they favour us every time?

yes they were. he said home teams always get decisions in their favour. which is directly saying that officials are biased, when we all now they aren't at all.ManCityMan wrote:Surely his comments regarding the standard of officiating in games at the Etihad when Arsenal play us is tantamount to bringing the game into

as much as he sounded like a bitter cockwomble, he did pick his words very carefully,
so he didn't actually say that Sterling dived for the penalty..
nor did he say the referee was biased in the match.
the FA could try and take a broad look at his dig at officials standards dropping, but as a general remark he would get off with that one.

He said home teams get decisions. That’s saying the officials are biased towards home teams.
He said the penalty wasn’t a penalty. The said sterling is a very good diver.

Be Wengers last season anyhow so he probably doesn't care much. Can't see them keeping him when they fail to get CL again.

Pick out what you want. He said Sterling is good at 'diving'...that's deformation of a character...simple as.
He then made jibes at the standard of refereeing...I thought was outlawed?
