Combined Man City/Man U team

Post by TMG on Wed Dec 06, 2017 12:18 pm

I've just done the combined best team out of all the City & Uniturd players on the BBCs website. I didn't include injured players such as Stones & Mendy
This is what I came up with

DeGay
Walker Kompany Delph
Sterling Silva Fernandinho KDB Sane
Aguero Jesus

Although Ederson has been brilliant he's not quite at the same level as DeGea yet
Dont think I'm being too biased either  Smile

Mine wouldn't be much different, but Otamendi ahead of Kompany.

I want the formation 4-1-4-1, so 4-3-3- is the closest they offer...

only possibilities are -
De Gea
Pogba
Martial
Shaw (when fit)

that would fit into our style of play.

Pogba wouldn’t get into our team. He doesn’t work back enough and loses the ball far too often. Martial ain’t too bad

I'm not sure about De Gea either. Granted, he's a damn fine shot stopper, but what's his distribution like?  And would he be as comfortable on the ball?  I have to admit, the odd error aside, I've been mightily impressed with Ederson's all round game.  Maybe for now, but Ederson is young and will only get better.
