Re: Ashes cricket
Complete shambles mate....they should be utterly embarrassed by their showing so far.
Axe Cook and Ali for starters....give Jennings and Crane a go, they can't do any worse.
5-0 written all over it.

Re: Ashes cricket
Ali has been want and so has Cook. Anderson has been ok, but not when you desperately want him to take wickets. Broad??? What has he brought to the party?
Give them all one more chance before wholesale changes for the last test.

Re: Ashes cricket
Agreed, Broad has to go too...his batting is woeful and his bowlings not that of a strike bowler anymore.
Andersons economy rate is still the best of all our bowlers and he continues to take the most wickets....he has to stay.

Re: Ashes cricket
Anderson needs swing and sideways movement to be effective, which he won’t get in Australia
He’s really only useful to keep it tight at the top overseas so we really need bowlers with pace and bounce coming through
To go to a test series with no proper spinner and no tall bowlers who can bowl 90 + was always asking for a hiding

Re: Ashes cricket
The pitches over there dont suit our bowlers. As you say PPLF Anderson & probably Broad as well need swing and not rock hard fast pitches. If we had faced em over here with Stokes playing as well it would have been completely different
I fully expect us to lose 5-0 again

Re: Ashes cricket
Another shitty day really. I'd have dropped broad for wood and Ali for crane. Ashes are long gone and too many players underperforming

Haven't watched any of it...forgot they were even playing. 5-0 is almost a certainty...absolutely embarrassing.

I was glad I got BT sport in anticipation of the Ashes but gave up a long long time ago.

Actually a good nights cricket fro England. Woke early and watched broad’s fireworks. Still got to take 20 wickets, but must have a chance

Re: Ashes cricket
True Den, but it was nice to see those brash Aussies get slapped around. If this had happened in the first test.....
