Just play it around, keep the ball, might as well take the replay, they will struggle to get the ball.

Re: Wigan v City - Live Thread
You could tell we weren’t up for it. A defence of bravo stones, danilo, Laporte doesn’t fill me with too much confidence. Silva and Gundogan have some ok, but poor if you consider the opposition. Sane looks like he’s not trying, Bernardo won’t ever take his man on and serge is playing for himself again.

Re: Wigan v City - Live Thread
Well that was some of the worst stuff we've played in a long while. Probably shouldn't have been a red but it was a stupid unnecessary challenge & you could see it coming from the moment it was a 50;50 ball.
Danilo is shit Bring walker on immediately
Bring KdB on for Bernardo or Sane as well

Re: Wigan v City - Live Thread
horrible game. look at all those tackles on our players that just got yellow.
Pep should just come out and say the referees are hopeless and call the FA and PGMOL out. Let the FA fine him and the club should tell the FA to fuck off and take them to court,.

We've been far too nice about all the shit we get. That's one of the things I really am disappointed with the owner for.

Would take a replay right now, seems like it’s just one of those days.

Don’t care who the opposition is, still impressed that we are controlling the game with a man down

No t a knee jerk reaction but half this team can fuck off.
Danilo for starters.
Stones is a 3rd division defender since he came back

Fair play to Wigan, finally our squad players let us down. Not sure we deserve anything today. Move on, can't win everything.

Fucking awful referee, bottled it and needs to explain why he allowed the Wigan players to pressure him into changing his mind.

Re: Wigan v City - Live Thread
Just don't know what to say about that
Ok we didn't get the rub of the green but fuck me that was shameful Why we didn't play our strongest team is a mystery . Danilo Bravo Sane Stones - Terrible. The rest were only marginally better I feel as pig sick as I did at Wembley in 2013 when we put up exactly the same performance

Move on to Sunday, and then at least the squad players are no more.
Bravo owes us just one save, and then that's him gone too.
Still think there is an agenda with refs this season, it's the only way you can beat us.
Would prefer Wigans defence to ours, 57m against free transfers, I can tell you who where better.
Needed a 2nd striker today too.

Gonna have to take this on the chin I'm afraid.
Wigan were excellent at the back...as good as we were fucking awful.
Danilo? WTF does he bring to this team?
Walker - hang your head in shame.
Bernardo, fucking awful. Tried in the 89th minute to take a player on and failed miserably.
Gundogan, fucking wank. Can't believe he got 90 mins.
Both bring fuck all to the party.
Aguero, today was awful.
Can't think of one-single player who could look themselves in the mirror tonight.

Re: Wigan v City - Live Thread
I'm not having any credit given to Wigan. A shocking decision gave them an unfair advantage, and still they got outplayed for 45 minutes by 10 men, apart from 1 gifted opportunity.
Disgusting pressure surrounding the ref and making him change his mind.
I hope Southampton put them in their place.

Yep, if there was one result to give us some breathing space this is it. League and CL are all they want, but they better put on better show on Sunday.

What a miserable bloody game. I can't believe the ref changed his mind on the card - never seen that before. Asshole. All that possession and we couldn't get one goal.

Three games this season I’ve backed against city. Palace , Liverpool and Wigan. Wigan were 22/1 to win this game

Player ratings:
Bravo 5
Danilo 3
Stones 4
Laporte 5
Delph 2
Silva 6
Ferdy 7
Bernardo 4
Sane 3
Aguero 4
Walker 2
KDB 6
Got to be the worst performance under Pep so far. That was a very strong team, but apart from Ferdy and KDB, the rest were absolutely awful.
Gundogan rarely tackles or tracks back. His passing was woeful last night. Far too slow.
Bernardo never beats a player and gets isolated one-on-one so many times. Nice on the ball, but just doesn't effect the game. It's all too simple. Control the ball and pass it back. And before anyone says he's playing out of position, he isn't. He was a right winger for Monaco last season.
Sterling would have caused their full backs a world of trouble last night.
Sane - surely not fit yet, but looks like he couldn't give a shit in the last 2 games.
Stones - was he carrying a knock? He and Laporte looked unsure with each other last night.
Danilo - dear oh dear. Utter garbage. Can't see him staying beyond this season. Angelino a far better LB and Maffeo a far better RB.
Aguero - frustrating. Brilliant one game, then has a shocker. We really do need Jesus back up and running soon to give him a rest. Looked tired last night.
Without KDB in MF, we lack energy. We need to add more energy in this area in the summer and buy another striker to help Sergio.
Very surprised Pep didn't give Foden or Brahim a run out...both have pace and energy and in the second half, we lost everything down the left from an attacking sense. Thought Pep missed a chance there.

Re: Wigan v City - Live Thread
some very generous scoring there bluey.
Can't for the life of me give Ferdy anywhere near 7. A few sloppy passes and couldn't;t hit the target when he should have scored.
I felt some of our players were far too casual, others far too lazy. They expected it to happen rather than making it happen. If we make a sloppy pass or miss an open goal, don't worry, another chance will come along soon.

Re: Wigan v City - Live Thread
You are right about Silva. Dont think he beat a man once last night. Gets the ball runs a step forward then passes it back everytime. Wish Pep would play him on the left or central though. He's deffo not a right winger
We've been kinda asking for that result for the last few weeks. All that possession means nothing if you can't get the ball in the net. The warning signs have been there
Danilo Stones Walker Bernardo Sane Aguero & Delph were below par. Bravo is always below par. Stones looked ill to me. Aguero just looks shattered. We needed another striker in the last transfer window with so many games still to play but wasted our time forlornly chasing another midfielder
