Football fans have generally been treated like shit by the authorities and even their own clubs.

Herded like cattle in the 70s and 80s, treated like criminals and paying ridiculous prices for tickets taking the game further away from the ordinary working man. £100 for a replica shirt? Are they taking the piss?

But football needs the fans. It needs full stadia. It needs that incredible atmosphere. That what helps to sell the ‘priduct’.

One day, fans may well be pushed too far. It’s our game; let’s take it back.
