They have to have Vieira on the shortlist for sure.

Be surprised if Ferran and Txiki don't have him in mind for the next Manager's job.
They've invested heavily in his education and gave him the opportunity to manage NYC FC and learn his trade.
Be a kick in the teeth if he takes the Arsenal job and there's no plans in place - unless they don't think he's capable for a future role and will assess how he does at Arsenal (if he gets the job)....but I think Arsenal need a big named Manager, not an ex-player at this moment in time.

The issue for Viera is that he has at least 2 years to wait at city. It could be 3-4 if Ballague is right. Do you think he’ll wait that long if arsenal offer him the top job?

But who are they going to get? I suppose Conte will be out of the door at the end of this season, but will they want a manager who barely did any better with a significantly better squad? I'm not sure how many other top managers are likely to want a move.blueboy wrote:but I think Arsenal need a big named Manager, not an ex-player at this moment in time.

Just heard Ancelotti is favourite.

I'd take Conte. Think he was screwed over by Chelsea (board and players) who have a habit of doing this.

He'd be a decent shout, to be fair. He might not stay long, though.blueboy wrote:Just heard Ancelotti is favourite.
