The bidding starts at £50M. He'd have to really believe in himself to come to City as we already have Mendy ion that position and Delph as back up.

Thing is sessegnon is adaptable he has been deployed wide left, left back and as a left sided midfielder this season. He fits the pep mould of being versatile and if anything I think delph would be moved on in favour of someone who offers more long term. That is not to put down Delph by any means as he has more than stepped up this term, but again he has been sidelined for a long period with injuries.

Would you not move on Zinchenko and keep Delph, as he seems to be more versatile?

If/when we get a new LW, it's got to be Zinky that's moved on. He's the one that is young enough and needs to play to progress. Delph will be happy to make up the numbers.

If we face the bare truth, Delph and Zinchenko would be moved on shortly.

See my other thread I bumped a couple of times when we could have got Sessignon for £20m.  Surprised))

I hope Delph is not moved on - under Pep he can play at LB and WB even though he is a natural midfielder.  He has also shown determination to fight for a place.  Would be sad to see him go.  Yes he has been injured a lot but so have a few others.

Agree Wensdi. If I had to choose...I'd move Zinchenko on before Delph.

Delph for me too, Zinchenko still looks a little raw and we would be better sending him out on loan to a team in one of the big European leagues, Gerona maybe?

Thing is...we have the best LB at Girona, stats wise, in Angelino. Maybe send Zinchenko there and bring Angelino back and see what he can do, as well as Maffeo.

We won't know unless we see what they can do in the PL.

They can't stay on loan forever...sell em if we're never gonna use them - what's the point with Walker taking the RB birth and Mendy the left - for the next 2/3 years at least.

We need to be seeing if these hot prospects can cut it in the PL.

Fair point, re the young 'uns but as you say, Walker and Mendi will be first choices at RB/LB for the next few years So if we want to give the kids like Zinky a chance its not worth forking out at least £50M for Sessegnon?

But he is English - and with Pep's tutelage, could be come a big star. Everybody in football is saying he's top class....they can't all be wrong. Plus, he could be adapted to play in many positions if he's that good.

Zinky has done well, but top class? Not sure he is.

The thing is...we've had Maffeo and Angelino on loan, for pretty much 2 seasons. Mendy and Walker will probably take the full/wing back roles as no.1's for the foreseeable future, but it's not good leaving these two on loan for another 2-3 years...until maybe Walker deteriorates - then get them in.

These are City kids...lets get them in for a year and see how they cope as back-ups. If they don't cut it, send them back on loan for a year or sell them.
