City v Liverpool
Not sure if I'll make it back up again to watch the game tonight (01:05 in the morning) as I'm up for work at 6 tomorrow...
Bernard has joined up with the squad now, so starting for tonight possible line-up -
Little Joe
RB Garcia Laporte Zinchenko
DM
Bernard Foden
Mahrez Sane
Diaz
Leaving RB and DM positions open as I wasn't impressed the other night by anybody in them slots...

Re: City v Liverpool
I'd rather we started with a kid in goal. Joe is gone and better for a kid to get bigger match experience.
If Bernardo can start the game, I'd like that. Mendy joins up tomorrow. Get a couple more first teamers out there.
Grimmy
Bolton, Garcia, Laporte, Zinky
Gomes
Bernardo, Foden
Mahrez, Nmecha, Diaz

Re: City v Liverpool
Well much better performance last night.. other than commentators who were appallingly 1-sided on Scouse TV and also on ESPN..
Most of the kids did a decent showing. was interesting watching Sane come on for the second half as a senior pro at his age :p
Garcia at the back, again, probably one of our better performers on the day. finishing up with him in between Tosin and Humphreys, he looked clearly a level above both of them. I can see him up to the senior squad and Tosin, Humpreys, Denayer all sold/loaned.
Foden in the middle, pretty solid, good first half, faded a little in the second, partially because we had little pivot infront of the defence so he couldn't move forward enough.
Diaz, bit quiet in the first half, every time he ran he got hacked down. came off at half time probably to save him from the referee's performance.
Harrison on left wing, alright, didn't do a whole lot wrong, but didn't get too involved in the game. some half decent link ups first half.
Bolton, RB, much better game than against Dortmund, but was playing wing back with back 3 last night, suited him much better. was threat going forward too. Can see him starting again next game.
Zinchenko, played very good in the holding midfield role.. could save up £80m with him there :p
Gomes, first appearance and full half when Mane and Salah came on, he started bright for 15 then got overrun in holding role.
Nmecha, seems full of running and tries to bulldoze every time, needs to be cuter with the ball. Think he should get loaned out as he's not developing into a Pep style player currently.
Roberts, did very little when he came on, seems the difference of premiership level friendly is 2 steps up from the SPL...
Bernardo, Sane, Mahrez all looked quality when the ball was near them. Sane a little bit off his usual first touch, Bernard still rusty legs, Mahrez just amazing every time he gets on the ball.
few other youngsters got some minutes, Dele-Bashiru & Garre didn't lave a mark.
but even still, our youngsters bettered the dippers carling/FA cup team quite comfortably in the first half. admittedly lost out to much stronger dippers team second half.
