Re: BAYERN VS CITY - LIVE
Really disappointed that none of the games were shown here in Australia for the 1st time this season. The only game shown was the Liverpool game on LTV. Hope Mahrez injury was /isn't too serious. The BBC were saying Foden went off clutching his hamstring, whereas City website live reporting said he had cramp. Any idea which one is true?

Should add great result by the way and by all accounts some good performances from Diaz, Nmecha & Luke Bolton.

Re: BAYERN VS CITY - LIVE
Overall, we were absolutely fantastic.
Only starting senior players were Mahrez, Bravo and Laporte and Mahrez went off after not too long to be replaced by Bernardo.
I think Mahrez has an injury that will keep him out for a few days at least. Didn't look just like a knock.
The kids played really really well.
We had superb opening 10-12 minutes. Bayern scored a couple of goals against the run of play but they had Coman, Ribery, Alaba, Robben etc. on the pitch so they would always cause our kids some problems. Inexperience, naivety etc. cost us.
But the way we stormed back to really control the game was impressive.
Garcia at the back had another excellent game, if not as impressive as in the other two friendly games. Zinchenko got battered at LB by Robben. Maybe with better players around him he can handle the LB or LWB position, but we cannot take that risk. He looked far better going forwards and playing in MF.
Humphreys truggelen but he was top against Coman who was one of the best players on the pitch. Laporte was decent overall for his first pre season game.
Luiz looked better in MF too and Foden and Diaz looked awesome. That's what we've been waiting for. You have to cut our kids some slack as they're 18/19 years old and just can't turn it on every game.
Luke Bolton had another good game. Nmecha, even though I cannot see him making it at City, put in another decent shift.
Mahrez looked silky until injured and Bernardo stepped up and looked incredible. Not only with his two nicely taken goals, but he showed that he can be our new Silva when the time comes.
Subs.... Gomes looked much better, Bernabè showed us why he was Barca's best youngster, Garré looked good too.
If you get the chance to watch the full match, or at least extended highlights, do so. You won't be disappointed and, I think, you'll be highly impressed.

Re: BAYERN VS CITY - LIVE
Thanks Ray I will hopefully be able to get some highlights from somewhere as we really don't get too much chance to see the
academy teams or the EDS. I wish we had City TV on 24 /7 like we get Liverpool, Uniturd & Chelsea on Foxtel. We get 1 3hr show repeated usually twice through the week of City, Arsenal & Spurs tv. Maybe that is something City should be looking at as a club. It would certainly introduce City to the masses.

Great game, enjoyed it. Blimey Bernado Silva was a revelation - played really well as did most of the kids.
