Derby Day Jitters
They're starting already. I'll be watching it from the comfort and safety of BWTAC towers, as my local is like the wild west on derby day. I'll probably log on here if we are doing well, if not i'll probably sulk for a week and will have to switch my phone off.
I'm going for a 3 - 1 City win, come on you blue boys.

Re: Derby Day Jitters
Joey, after donkeys years of just hoping we don't get thrashed, after winning the FA cup, i now have a new sense of belief in City and i'm actually confident these days that we will win.
File this in "Some things you would never thought you would say in your lifetime". Its a strange feeling indeed.

Its hard to change a habit of a lifetime Daz. shitting myself already. The banter has started and i feel the pressure is on us this time around, which is bizzare. Its alright to talk about bragging rights, but we know it means much more than that, especially as we are at last on a par with them.

I can't decide how I feel about this one... On the one hand, I'm really looking forward to watching a solid contest between two teams at the top of their game. On the other, I'm worried we're going to get shown up as the interlopers so many have us down as being.
I'll settle for a draw.

Think City will do their usual and start slow - with a few scares from Roon Wayney and Nanci. If we can get a grip in the second half and Bob utilizes YaYa in a more attacking role - and he plays Aguero, Balotelli, Silva, Richards, Clichy and Milner - think we might pull it off.

Its on at 8:30 am over here. Don't mind it being early though - prefer Sunday matches to Saturday - that way I can get all the wifely chores done and dusted. (lav cleaning).

Re: Derby Day Jitters
Don't know about lav cleaning, i'll probably be hiding in the lav, i still have some typical city syndrome. But seriously, this is more important for them, if we lose we are only 1 point behind, if they lose we are 5 points clear. The more interesting thing for me is how we win or lose. That will be a pointer to where we are at in our development. If we get battered then we have a long way to go, if we lose a close game then we are close to what we need if we win and win well then we are true challengers for their crown

Re: Derby Day Jitters
Feel sick, hate derby days till there over... also every game i bet City win 3-1 and more often than not i lose! Thing is i believe we have the best squad in the prem and trust Mancini 100% but still wait for the old typical City tag??? Just want a win dont care about how we play just win... and hopefully with the last kick of the ball in the 94th minute.
Re: Derby Day Jitters
I will be sitting in the Stretford End, hopefully i'll join in on the 6th Poznan.. would take a draw to be honest.

Re: Derby Day Jitters
None. No jitters.
12 years ago we were 5 minutes from possible football oblivion in the old 3rd Division. That was a lesson in humility. I learned to looked forward to EVERY game after that, not fear them.
Besides, 3 injury time 'derby' heartbreaks in one season is a desensitising experience.
Losing 8-1 to M/Boro STILL hurts more than any of that...
