City's image rights and FFP

Read that last night when there was no footy to watch (Europa League doesn't count unless that where we end up next season).

It's like City have said you fined us for the image rights deal so we'll take it all back in house now.

Why take a chance when all they had to do was either get Nike to pay more money or get Etihad, and other sponsors, to make up the shortfall? The Etihad deal wouldn't, and couldn't, be questioned so it was a home banker.

Is there a point to this story?

I think the Independent were just showing that City were a little 'economical with the truth' and maybe UEFA were right to fine us for trying to pull the wool over their eyes.

Who cares we paid the fine while others got away with none and some like PSG and Monaco were far worse but fined comparatively leniently. We are making profit now and the FFP fiasco is in the past.
