Mbappe off to Madrid?

Rumours are...Monaco have agreed a £161m bid from Real Madrid. Monaco though are denying it. Lots of media outlets claiming it's true. Interestingly, Stu Brennan claims that Pep's interest has stopped Monaco and Mbappe doing the deal already.

Hope it's not true, as it'll just make the Sanchez deal a lot harder.

Why will it make the Sanchez deal more difficult?

That's a ton of money but they would expect to have him for more than 10-12 years. And no-one else will get him.

Because like the Alves deal, if Real buy Mbappe, Arsenal will know that one of our 2 targets is no longer on the market, so can start the bidding at £70m instead of £50m.

City would just say screw them if they do that and Arse get nothing next summer.

Time to see who has the biggest balls.

Whilst Mbappe is on the market and we're interested, we have options. If Mbappe goes to Real, then we're left with the one player we want...hence, a hike in money.

However, we could just go after Muller if he's unhappy at Bayern!!!!

But Arsenal could easily say that now! It's getting the best deal when you can. The fact we've been open with regards to Mbappe, means Arsenal know we still want a forward. Wonder if we're suddenly linked with another striker tomorrow, if this story is true??

City Watch claim we are in intense talks with Monaco and that Pep will guarantee Mbappe a starting place, unlike Real Madrid....which is something the player and his father are concerned about.

Wow, if we pull this off, it'll be some summer.

Then what happens to Aguero & or Jesus? This is what worries me

front 4 of sane, mbappe, jesus and aguero. two silvas in midfield. unless we want to play 3-3-4 in which case 2 silvas and foden in midfield.....

We need another striker and another CB. We've seen over the seasons that Vinny and Sergio tend to have a few months off with injuries. 2 strikers is not enough for 4 competitions. Yes, we can play with one and give them support via KDB, Sane etc...but we need 3 strikers to be putting the pressure on each other.

There will rotation with the defenders said Pep, it's just mean roatation with the strikers and wingers.

Barca manage with Suarez, Messi and neymar. Madrid do it with bale, benzene and ronaldo. Why can't we do it with Aguero, Mbappe and Jesus? Or perm 2 from 3?

TalkSPORT saying that city have said they won't bid for Mbappe. Everyone says something and someone will get it right and say told ya so

I'm sure we could...  Barca have MSN, Madrid have BBC, we could have JAM.

I'm not so sure about the money though.  Sure Mbappé looked good last season, but that's a lot of money for a kid who's had one good season.

City wanted him last summer, before he had that great season...but agree, it's stupid money, to the point that I don't care anymore.

When you see £50m for Sigurdsen, it's just laughable.

Next season, we'll be saying that Sterling, Stones, Walker et al were a steal at their prices!!!!!
