Andy Carroll Empty Andy Carroll

Apparently Chelsea are interested in Andy Carroll.
Anyone think it would be worth getting him at City even though he is very injury prone

If not and assuming we dont get Sanchez, what if Aguero gets injured who are we gonna play up front Sterling ??

No.  Not with a bargepole.  Not even if we were desperate.  Not even if he was the last player on earth.  Not even if my life depended on it.  I don't believe I can stress enough just how bad an idea it is.  If we can't get Sanchez, there must be a world of other options.

He's scored two goals in fourteen months, which is a piss poor return for a striker.  And it doesn't help that he's made of glass, either.  I'd seriously stick Otamendi up front first, he's scored more goals in the last three months than Carroll has scored in the last three seasons.

Mahrez?
Bouffal (I've been impressed with his play for Southampton)
Redmond

Diaz..  :p

Stop sitting on the fence Leo Just say whether you want Carroll or not LOL

Think Mahrez & Redmond are more midfielders rather than out and out strikers. Don't know Bouffal

Anyone get any other realistic ideas for a striker ?

lol!

Mahrez might be a shout, though.  If we got him, we could shove Raheem forward.  It's not like Raheem can't score and Mahrez has a good turn of speed and a decent cross.

Another player who I've been quietly impressed with is Richarlison, and he'd certainly give us scope to give Sané a rest.

Sane needs more pressure on his position. We started the season with Mendy and Sane coming off the bench. Mendy got injured and our wide man by default was Sane and he impressed when teams gave us space.

Now, for me, he's not playing well enough and consistently enough. Mahrez would put immense pressure on him to step up his game.

Yes.  I suspect this may be down to the fact he's being overworked because we have nobody who can cover for him, but whatever the reason is, having another player in that position would help us enormously.

Mahrez is a decent shout.

Patrick Roberts anyone? How much longer will he be out?

Also, remember when LVG was short on strikers....he threw in Rashford. Look at him now.

What about giving Nmecha at try?

We've got Diaz and Nmecha. Throw one in against BC at least the away leg after we've battered them at home.

I'd rather have Fat Sam up front, can't stand 'sick note' Carroll and agree with the above negative assessments of him, not near my club thanks!
