Hi guys,

I know I've been away for a good while now - it's been primarily down to personal issues forcing me to take a back seat from many things.  As I've come back to a PM asking for Admin access from months ago, I figured it would be best to elevate a few people so that this place can continue running in my absence.  I'll be keeping Admin access myself, for when I come back, but we need another...

So I welcome you to our new Admin:  BlisteringBlue!

I've also promoted Topdawg, Shaken and Wensdi to Moderator.  I know, mod free experience and all that...  Hopefully you guys won't mind me taking this unilateral decision, but given you're all regular contributors, I felt you were all best placed for the (admittedly rare) times a mod is needed.

Thanks to everyone who has been keeping this place ticking over in my absence.  Hopefully I'll be back soon!

Bloody hell, that’s another promotion I’ve missed! Oh I dream of being a moderator, but I guess it’s just not meant to be. Looks like I’ll have to drown my sorrows.
PS I have absolutely no idea what a moderator does really, but being an old mod myself I think it sounds like a cool title.

As I've said previously I have totally lost any love of football, I have zero interest in it.  I've not been to a live game since the dipper Champions league defeat and I've watched about a single match on TV this season.

Started to watch the first lockdown match and switched off after 10 mins only found out about the Lyon debacle on Sunday news, so enough is enough.

I know we had a few words around political shit but  it was just healthy debate and I'm fine with that, my complete loveless attitude to football sort of makes it difficult to join in football chat.

I wish you all well in the future and hope these "strange times" are soon a thing of the past.

Ah.  It seems, in my lengthy absence, I may have missed this nugget of information.  Hmm.  Oh well, Ray, I'm happy to have you on board as an admin, mate.

As mods, please feel free to ban anyone who says Sterling is shit.  It seems like a common theme to want to do that.  And it's been a while since I had to wield the ban hammer on here (ONH, anyone?)

No he's not. Imo he was when he came but has, without doubt, improved season after season....and is now one of the 1st names on the teamsheet.
That said, and proved this week, he's still able to prove my original point by missing chances that my pet tortoise would put away.lol

For me, the test is, would you want a player playing for you or against you? And I definitely would not like to see him playing against our defence.
