De Jong..... Empty De Jong.....

According to Sky text De Jong wishes to stay at City. As far as I'm concerned then if we can negotiate with Johnson and Zab we can try and wrap this up asap as well.

He was on GMR this morn saying much the same, how he loves the club and wants to stay but the ball's now been left in Citys court. I guess it all depends on how much of a payrise he's been "advised" to ask for tongue .

Hopfully we'll offer him a contract on the basis he ditches his "adviser".

De Jongs agent is Rodger Linse of SP International, who looks after the likes of Kalou and Van Nistlrooy among others, KJ has no involement with De Jong on any level, KJ has offered his services to a number of Citys players, but was quickly rebuffed. All these rumours that KJ is acting for NDJ, are completely false.

I agree Den, i want him signed up, NDJ is looking for financial parity with certain other players and seeing as the next contract he signs will in monetary terms, be the biggest of his career, i think it will take a while longer to make both club and player happy, but i think he will sign in the end.

Bridge is on 100k/w (thanks Hughes), from what the papers are saying he is asking for around 90k which is fair IMHO.

Plus, wasn't SP International one of the companies that kia ora is involved with? He acts as an adviser but there is much more to hi role, probably has more rights and profits than the agent.

This situation reminds me of Makalele at Madrid, he obviously thinks he is worth as much as the big earners, and i think so too. It doesn't matter if its kia advising him, their are thousands more like that snake raking the cash in as advisor's who will tell him to hold out for more. We should get him signed up at all costs, and quick. The longer it goes on the more power to the player.
