Now ever opposing team has a foolproof plan to deal with us.
The fear factor has now gone, we seem to be the ones with the fear.

We simply have no plan B
Opposition teams are crowding the space between midfield and attack & we don't have an answer.
If our tactics are to pass the ball around in front of a packed defence then we need to pass it much quicker and the movement must be better off the ball to drag players away creating space in behind
If thats not working we need to then bring Johnson and Nasri on to provide width with the fullbacks and someone needs to tell Johnson not to cut in every time looking for the glory shot. Aguero is a greedy little fucker and never passes to someone in a better position plus his finishing is dire at the moment
Kolorov is fucking awful,just get rid.If we need to rotate fullbacks we should use Zabaleta at left or right back as he's much better than Kolorov
Nasri has to be the biggest disappointment,he just slows the play down and he is the biggest waste of money in the squad
Dzeko simply needs a run of games not being dipped in and out,he's not that type of player
Before he was "rested" Milner was playing really well,this constant tinkering isn't doing us any good

Teams are going to play 10 men behind the ball & scrap for a point so we have to box a bit more clever. Passing the ball 50 times around the box & then a hopeful shot is just not gonna do it. It was truly shocking, and we were piss poor as a team, we looked like strangers for half that game. It took me back to years gone by when i could almost see the inevitable goal coming.

I am quite worried now the way we keep possession without creating the clear chance we need to win the game, the tippy tappy shite is boring and not creating the chances quickly enough, up the tempo and speed of play, too many times the passes were backwards and sideways.

The lucky thing is due to the bizzare results elswhere we got away with it, this could be the wake up call we need, at least i hope it is.

Fuck me! What a bunch of miserable bastards you lot are! We've had a few poor performances and suddenly you're all writing everyone off - since when did we become rags?? I must've missed that meeting. And look at it this way, at least we weren't done at home by a team that couldn't win a raffle if they were the only ones in it.

I've been saying it for weeks that we're missing the clinical finishing and that it would ultimately be our undoing and now here it is. Pulis was the first to pick up on this and park the bus, but his defence weren't up to the challenge and we won. If we'd been on any kind of form, we'd have won by a massive margin. Woy decided he could do it better and managed to keep us out with two tight lines of four, which worked beautifully for him because he saw we don't so much attack the goal as meander towards it. Our slothful attacking style made it easy for them to defend. MON went one further by having someone loose to hit us on the counter attack, which worked. Just as it worked last season when Brucie did it.

We aren't crap, we're just being found out. We can fix this with more aggressive pushing into the opposition's defence and a bit more clinical finishing. Let's hope that Bobby works this out sooner rather than later.

I honestly can't understand the flack thrown out from the Sunderland game, i don't think we were as "shit" as you lot seem top be making out. City totally bossed the game from the 3rd minute (after Bender missed the 1 on 1) til the 92.45minute, and but for poor finishing would have won easily. We're still top ffs and after a win tonight we'll open up a 3pt gap.

I'd agree that we weren't "shit". We were too slow attacking, but that was about it. We had 2/3 of the possession, that's not a statistic that you get by being shit.

We weren't 'shit', but we want great either. Teams are starting to do to us what they used to do to Arsenal, give them all the possession and hit us on the break. We have become very pedestrian and happy to just have the ball in recent weeks, but possession doesn't score a goal. Its up to Bobby and his selections/substitutions to break through the wall of defence in front of us, we just seem a little bereft of ideas atm, Mario might bring back the spark tonight.

He might not need to. I can't see Liverpool trying to park the bus tonight, they'll be wanting to go for the win. I think it'll be a more open game, which will suit us a bit better.

I don't agree lee, they will play with suarez up top on his own with Gerrard behind him, Adam Spearing Downing and Henderson will pack the midfield and what has looked like a pretty solid defence will be very hard to break through. I expect a very tight 1-0 either way, i just hope we create the opening, not suarez.

I must have been watching a different game, no we weren't shit, but we were sloppy at times, slowed the pace down for no apparent reason, put YayYa closer to defence which lost us his incisive runs, played to many pretty passes in front of goal instead of shooting and trying to poach a rebound.
Our finishing was "woeful" !! Aguero needs some finishing practice.
I agree that Dzeko looked a bit rusty, but that's not his fault, he atleast gave it his best and could have had a couple but for some desperate defending.

I just hope your right lee, but i cant see Kenny wanting the humiliation that the rags got. They are the draw specialists this year (7), and have the best defensive record in the league (15 conceded), and have been very unlucky in front of goal sometimes. We need to be on it tonight, an early goal for us is vital imo to open the game up, and get the crowd settled.

Sunderland had 2 clear cut chances - Sessignon and Bendtner, 2 long shots that forced Hart into saves and the goal at the end.

But for wayward finishing in far better positions than we got in - i'd say we were shit. Sorry.

When was the last time we had a striker or midfielder running at the keeper a la Sessignon and Bendtner? All our chances (the few we have had recently) have been snap shots from inside the area - there lies our problem as mentioned before - it's all far too slow, allowing the opposition defence time to re-group.

I can't see Liverpool deploying those tactics - which may mean we get more one-on-one opportunities.....but on the other hand - they have far more clinical finishers in the team than Sunderland....so fuck up, and they will exploit it.

I said it a couple of weeks ago,and I still stick to it.We are too slow in our build up. Against the rags we hit them so swiftly that we hammered 6 past them,since then its been like we are afraid to run forward.We pass from side to side instead of pushing forward,and this is not going to a popular comment,but Yaya is one of the most common offenders.He needs a rest and put Nigel in so that he gets his game back.He is not the player he was before

No probs - all about opinions. You can see the difference though when the opposition team come at City, rather than defend with 10 men behind the ball.

I hope Aguero's shot shows us that we can take a punt from outside the box if we have a chance, even with all the Liverpool defenders it only takes a small mistake (or howler from the keeper) and it;s in the back of the net.
