Sneidjer and de rossi
Wesley Sneijder is again set to be dangled by Inter Milan as bait in their bid to land Carlos Tevez from Manchester City.
The Holland midfielder, expected to be a top United target in
the summer, is the Italian club’s trump card as they seek to win a race
between five clubs for the signature of Tevez.
But City are likely to insist on a cash deal, and Inter’s
expected £21million bid – with the first instalment coming in June –
would put them in the driving seat, ahead of Serie A rivals AC Milan and
Juventus, plus Paris St Germain and Corinthians.
Inter are hoping to open formal talks with City today, and are
prepared to resurrect a deal which was proffered in the summer, when a
Tevez-Sneijder swap was also mooted, as exclusively revealed by M.E.N.
Sport.
That possible deal was killed, according to Tevez’ s adviser Kia
Joorabchian, by the Blues’ move for Samir Nasri, with City no longer
needing any more attacking midfielders.
Manager Roberto Mancini also wanted Roma star Daniele de Rossi,
only to be told there would be no more spending – and he had to make do
with the free signing of Owen Hargreaves.
But Hargreaves, troubled by injuries, has only played 13 minutes
of Premier League football for City, as well as two Carling Cup ties.
He is expected to be in the squad for Sunday’s FA Cup derby, but
Mancini will urge the Blues to quickly conclude a quick sale of Tevez –
and then spend the proceeds on de Rossi.
The Blues have already started unloading players from the wage
bill after the £400,000 sale of left back Kieran Trippier to Burnley,
following a successful loan spell.
Trippier may be joined soon by fellow 2008 FA Youth Cup winner Ben Mee, who has also impressed Burnley boss Eddie Howe.

Re: Sneidjer and de rossi
Sneijder would be a good signing but i just don't see it happening, plus did he not also say he'd only want to join Utd if he came to England? However, if it's the only possible way of getting rid of the leach that is Carlos Tevez, then he's got to be worth considering. Can't really comment on de Rossi Dawg as i don't know anything about him but i'd still consider him before Tiote as mentioned in another article.
I reckon City should send Hargreaves out on loan for a month or 2 to get some much needed game time, maybe to somewhere like Bury .

Re: Sneidjer and de rossi
If he'd been fit a couple of months ago, a one month loan deal to a local club like Wigan could have been useful in order to get his match fitness up again.
We do seem a bit heavy in the DM department.

Di Rossi is a good player, but he is a red card waiting to happen, i'm sure its just his contract talks stalling that link him to us. Sniejder wants to join the rags so wouldn't bother with him, unless that was the only way to get rid of the cnut, then sell him to the rags for an extortionate fee
Hargreaves to the shakers Den?? surely a relegation battle will dissolve his confidence

I expected you to do ok this year mate, but the current position must be beyond your expectectations? A play off place is not out of the question, just need to sort out the home form and a trip to wembley is on the cards

Re: Sneidjer and de rossi
Tbh Si, we've not got the squad to realistically get much higher, as we've only 16 players but they are a decent bunch, injuries and suspensions kill any asperations (as they did at Trannmere last week, we had 5 out). We won't get into the play-offs but we are doing well, to finish out of the bottom 4 will be good enough for me.....which we will. Home forms been crap for 3-4 seasons now, just don't get why though.

Re: Sneidjer and de rossi
Barker should give Bobby a call to see how he has made us unbeatable at home Its some achievement to get to 9th in league one with 16 players, some big clubs not too far ahead with miles bigger resources.
Never say never Den, strange things have happened this season, i wouldn't rule out a late play off charge, and the extra money would come in handy i'm sure. My fingers will be crossed, got em at 20/1 to make the play offs at the start of december

Yeah, not bad for a team who have the 2nd lowest average in their league 3,596 either (Rochfail are lower). UTS!!!!
I'm more than happy with both The Shakers and City thus far.

Re: Sneidjer and de rossi
Would love to see Sneidjer at City if only to piss of the rags
Don't know owt about Rossi
Bury are doin fantastically well. I thought at one time (after losing Ryan Lowe) they were odds on for going down but they have turned it round & I for one will be with happy with mid table mediocrity

I now think Sneidjer must be used as a make-weight to finally rid ourselves of Tevez, as it seems AC are reluctant to Buy in January?
Ideal opportunity to bolster the squad too.

Re: Sneidjer and de rossi
we need to do something quickly.
we need a CB, CM and striker.
can't see us getting both de rossi and sneidjer (not that i'd complain if we did)
