It does worry me that De Jong is the obvious replacement, yet will be thrown in at the deep end despite not being match fit at the moment.

Milner is more of a box to box replacement for yaya who's certainly not a defensive midfielder

Imo i reckon RM should give Nasri a run in the middle for once instead of out wide. When Fabregas was injured Wenger always stuck him there and he looked a much better player. Put NDJ just behind him to cover the back 4, with Milner/AJ and Silva out wide.

i am taking at face value that the bruvs won't be around, mario and dzeko are injured and samir is ill.

If anything changes, i'd have Samir in for AJ, maybe Dzeko instead of Zabba

If Dzeko was available then I'd put him in there with Kolarov in left midfield. I also think that could be a combination that might have some luck in unlocking lower table sides that put 11 men behind the ball.

But since he isn't, I'd go for your team Dawg, NDJ, Zab and Milner to aid with the physical battle in midfield, Silva, Aguero & AJ for flair (although probably swap AJ for Nasri).
