Atmosphere
Did anyone else think that the atmosphere in the second half and leaving the ground was fucking brilliant?
We fell a bit quiet naturally after going 3-0, and at half time, my expectations for the second 45 were that it would be literal torture. But going into the second, and after Kolarov scored it was brilliant.
The rags fabled 'best away support in the country' fell silent, and I was sat close enough to see individual faces squirm after we put our second away.
Brilliant support, proud to be a blue, and hopefully the players will leave with their heads held high just like we did.
"We're Man City, we stay to the end!"

Re: Atmosphere
Great Kudos to City fans, staying to the end, almost doing the comeback with a dogged display with 10men, cheering them off the pitch and singing their hearts out, it almost feels like a victory!
If ever there was a display of players "wanting it" that was it, maybe now we can put some of those mercenary tags to bed once and for all....
Aguero was great, Milner literally ran himself into the ground, Savic shed blood!
we didn't curl up and die, we didn't go gung ho after UTD, Mancini showed some real tactical balls, played the percentages and used his head.
Utd limped over the line with a little help from the ref

Re: Atmosphere
If the ref doesn't do the right thing and say he was wrong.......then he better be careful of what's coming to him.......the press are all on our side, he will look a right prick if he stands by this....we can accept defeat, but Vinny out for 3 games because of a good, genuine tackle won't be tolerated by the fans, the club or football in general.

Re: Atmosphere
Same here, was proud of our great support today in a game ruined yet again by the ref. The best chants were "we only have 10 men" and 3-2 to the referee! Should of seen the Rag faces at the end when all our crowd cheered and clapped our players off they looked like scared school kids who had just lost!!
Re: Atmosphere
They did lose in that respect, their fans were shite in the second half right up to the final whistle.
My personal favourites had to be
"Where we're you when Dzeko scored?"
"We're Man City, we stay till the end"
and
"Giggs, tearing families apart again"

Re: Atmosphere
Good to see the City sense of humour back in full effect! If that had been Utd losing 3-0 at half time, down to 10 men, the place would have been empty.
Not only can we take a moral victory for the fans, but the players can walk down the street and hold their heads up high.
We may have lost our hold on the FA Cup, but it just might do us a favour in the league, less games to play etc...

Re: Atmosphere
I think the players answered a lot of critics today who up until now have questioned our team spirit. Even though we lost, the passion and determination the players showed only adds plaudits to our title credentials.

Re: Atmosphere
Agree. We were all downhearted at half time. And wet too, seeing as the rain managed to find a way to fall under the roof. But that second half performance was as good as I've seen all season - not flowing and stylish, but proper backs to the wall fighting spirit and team work.
Maybe Foy did us a favour, he gave us the chance to show that Bobby knows how to turn a game and that those lads actually want to play for us and give a damn about the team and not just lining their pockets. Not that I'm going to let him off for trying to ruin the game.

Re: Atmosphere
here we go slagging Uniteds support again, you could'nt hear the city fans in the first half, we even took the piss out of your famous Poznan.
Yeh you made an effort in second half, well done, and as for singing "we'll stay to the end" your just copying united there.
Great day all round.

Yeah, but you only sing when you're winning. And sometimes not even then. When Aguero bagged our second, your lot went very quiet indeed.

Re: Atmosphere
This is how it feels to be City
This is how it feels to be small
You sign Phil Jones and we sign Kun Aguero...

Re: Atmosphere
I would say that United had the loudest noise in the first half yes.....but you were 3-0 up and against 10 men....i wouldn't expect anything else.
But then again, the second both on the pitch and in the stands was dominated by City......that says more about our performance and your inept team cohesion.
You had 10 men for 40 minutes at home and we put 5 past you. You played against 10 men for 81 minutes, scored twice and conceded twice.
Great atmosphere, great resilience, great spirit and great fight by us.

Re: Atmosphere
We've had worse beatings ONH..
What we are getting at is we were more than happy with the players performances 2nd half where all the pundits (and probably united players) were expecting a landslide.
We're hardly going to wish you well for the future cup run though are we?? Well unless it detracts from your league form..

Re: Atmosphere
I can honestly tell you no one could belive the score at half time, but even with ten men we knew you would come at us second half.
This is the "new" city, the team unbeaten at home for over a year not the old city who would have caved in.
& you did but we hung on even though we made it hard for ourselfs by being a bit sloppy (we should have had another pen) I was impressed with your lad up front "kunt" but still proud of United.
Great game.

Re: Atmosphere
I really hope United go right to the final now, obviously I hope you lose it via a dodgey Phil Jones own goal or something, but may you have a long and arduous road to the final, riddled with replays
