Vinny, as erudite as ever, mulls over the decision.

Re: Vinny Speaks
Well fuck me.......is that the most intellectual and impartial response to a 'travesty' you have ever read?
He is a clear Man City Legend...and a leader of men.
It would have been easy for him to extol vitriol at the decision, but as we know of our Captain....his response is always measured and angular.
I am proud of our Captain and the way he responded to, not only the ridiculous red card..but the way he has waited to respond.
A leader Vinny, you most certainly are....OUR LEADER.

Re: Vinny Speaks
Vinny is a footballing philospher, he takes defending as an artform and a battle of wills with strikers, he tries to be one step ahead and defend with grace.
I think that's why he was so dissapointed with the decision, and probably baconface's comments about him doing it before.
I hope we don't miss him as much as Alan "Woeful" Hansen suggests we might!

Beginning to think that basketball will be a harder game than football eventually, football will be a non contact game because players will be too scared to make a challenge

Re: Vinny Speaks
Beware - we WILL miss him.......THE best defender in the PL and one of the best 5 in Europe is always going to be missed...but at this moment in time, it's not just because of him, it's because of our shortage in CB's.
Yes, I can see Savic or Micah filling in....and Zaba or even Onouha providing cover...even though Mancini intimated at the kids........
But his calmness and leadership will be our biggest miss.....and to see Micah get the armband after he went off.....MUST be a big indication of the responsibility now thrust upon one of our OWN.....to pick up the mantle, and provide the leadership required in this difficult period....AND IF HE IS GIVEN THAT RESPONSIBILITY.....i think this could be the making of Micah...and he can push on with his development from this.
Out of the dark...sometimes comes light............it's a test of our durability..nothing more for a team wanting to win the PL......and i think we have what it takes, starting with tonight.
Come on City...Sunday proved our credentials and spirit to push on.
2-1 for me.

Anyway, time to talk about tonight, we are going to win and we will show that we can manage without these players, our squad and spirit is strong

Re: Vinny Speaks
I'm in the mind to give Savic a go due to his height, sacrificing Micah at CB would be a detriment to his wingback play, which pins back the likes of Downing ( few wind ups about Ex's are due here I think tonite!) and most importantly, gets him into threatening positions down the wings and area, something we need to do more of a la Spurs and UTD away, where we got to the byline on numerous occasions and delivered killer passes

Re: Vinny Speaks
Vinny has nothing to wory about... we won't see a wave of reds as we sanction all the 'ifs' and 'maybes' because tonight it was plain to see that the 'jesus christ that's a definites' will be ignored where appropriate to make sure we have balanced numbers
