Decent article - and nice to hear what former players think of Tevez now and Marsh then.

I don't think Mancini will have the same Rose tinted glasses as Allison did, Tevez will not be trusted until he can prove that he's fit and prepared to commit to Mancini's plans.
Tevez will hopefully revert back to his previous game, where he would act as a battering ram against opposition defences

Allison was entirely to blame for Citys demise at a time when there was absolutely no need to change things, I don't think Mancini's that stupid......well i hope not anyway. Tevez is an existing player, who's team-mates all know him. We all know what Tevez is capable of and what to expect (when he's fit), surely his introduction with a dozen games to go can't be as detremental to the team as Marsh's was .

It's a far different game in the modern era than when Marsh was playing. Players were not as fit, the ball was heavier and the pitches were like seas of mud a lot of the time. Marsh would not get the time to perform his self indulent tricks now because he would be closed down immediately he received the ball.

Tevez can worry and harrass defenders and draw them away leaving room for Aguero or Dzeko to exploit, Marsh would never do that. Tevez will track back more than Marsh ever did, oh wait, he never did.

Given the choice of a fit Tevez or Marsh who never even trained because he believed he was too good to need training i know who i would choose.
