Is it time we got rid of Tevez?

He's 27 - never been injured so much in a season so far.

He has asked to leave the club, fallen out with Mancini and has an idiot of an agent who he listens to - who seems to want to speak to every major club in Europe to make some more cash off the back of his client.

He has scored plenty of goals for us, he's our Captain and is inspirational in his work ethic.

He still has 2, maybe 3 seasons at the most at the top of his game, due to his energy he gives to the team.

Thumbs UP for him to be sold?

Thumbs DOWN for him to stay?

Oh -and this £30m to Juve or Inter quote? Is that all he's worth?

For me - I think if we got £40m for him - i think we should let him go.

Won't matter coz he'll be going anyway. Agree £25-30 million is a piss take. If Torres is worth £50m & Ronaldo £80 mill or whatever he went for, Tevez has to be worth nearer the £50 million mark & as we will lose out on every other signing we should seek to make a healthy profit on him

We will need another striker though coz I just can't see Dzeko or Balotelli getting enough goals. Adebayor & Bellamy would be good signings... Wait a minute

Agree that he his worth more than £30m, but its not like we will get £50m for him. I can see us accepting £30m or even a swap/cash deal for him.

Ade - £20m at the end of the season - leaves 'a' manager £50m to replace two players. I know we have loads of money, but i think they will be cautious over this Financial Fair Play bollocks.

I do like that Sanchez - and we could get him for less than we could sell Ade for and wages nearer the £80k pw mark. And watch him take the piss out of Ronaldinho and the Brazil team! I agree - i cannot see both Balotelli and Dzeko being superstars - so maybe one of the two could be sold for another £20m and £150k pw off the balance sheets.

I'm not writing Djecko off yet as if we play to his strengths and get a supply of crosses over he could be ok,Tevez is as good as gone and while I thank him for his efforts,if he doesn't want to play for us,then I wouldn't be camped outside his house in a balaclava.As for the cunt he can fuck right off

Tevez is a-typical of a South American player coming from nothing and needing a father figure. Unfortunately, he has Kia as an agent, but then again, if money is the objective then Kia has done well for Tevez.

I never thought for one minute he would be here for the long-haul.

Even with CL football, or a cup win - i think he has done his 2 years and now its time for him to cash in.

Just hope we can get somebody with his work ethic to replace him.

As for Dzeko - Mclown said that he needs to be left until next season and then you will see the best of him.

If Mancini is here next summer, then maybe we will see the best of both him and Balotelli - BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON TOMORROW AND THE NEXT 4 WEEKS!

No doubt in my mind that Tevez will be off in the summer. I think Balobollocks will be off as well, Dzeko will be our first choice striker and banging in loads of goals feeding off the crosses of a fully fit for the whole season Adam Johnson.

Anyone think that tomorrow we should start Edin with Johnno on the left and SWP on the right to bang in crosses for Eddy or would that be too attack minded for Mancini and end up giving him a heart attack?

I've been sitting on the fence for a while with this one.

To be honest I think if he does leave, we can build a more balanced team without him.

Yes we can cope without him, but we do rely heavily on him to lift the players and supply the goals, it's no coincidence that he has stopped scoring since new year and our form as a whole team has dipped.

Give the captaincy to Kompany, let Dzeko settle in over summer, bring in one or two more creative midfielders, and we should have a much more balanced side going in to next season.

(also need two or three defenders, but that's another story!)

In short, Yes.

Tevez only hits best form (in terms of goalscoring) when he plows a lone furrow upfront, and I find as a team this system restrains us. That on top of all the expected South American drama you tend to get as well as the possibility of future injuries as the OP rightly states makes Tevez ripe for replacement.

Also his stock cant get much higher than it is now surely? £40m or a cash + swap deal for someone like Benzema would be ideal I think.
