3-2 may sound close, but we were miles apart in terms of ability and control. Don't be fooled by the sending off as we bossed the game from the first whistle for about 30-35 minutes and then scored 3 quick goals to put the game to bed.

chelsea were lucky as it could really have been a serious hammering and i think they'll take a few games to gel and that may put them out of the title race.

to think we didn't start with Hart, Lezza, Silva, GazBaz etc.

How on gods earth is Savic still starting games for the first team?
It would be like Michel Vonk playing for Brazil
Awful player, offers absolutely nothing and I can understand why Kolo must be very pissed off

KoLo not playing was another invitation for him to leave.

Can anybody tell me if Tevez got booked for the tee shirt caper. If not why not?It just goes to show that referees do have a thing about Balotelli, and it is not fair!!Smile

don't think he got booked for that. taking your shirt off = booking.

did balotelli take his shirt off?

Thought the Ref used a bit of common sense for a change..he could of sent 2 more Chelsea players off, Cole and Ramires. Again common sense for not booking Tevez... probably get himself relegated to the Championship now. All in all a good run out for the curtain raiser

I have to admit, was nice to see him waggle the finger to Ramires who knew exactly what would happen if that was a league match and he did the same..

but with the clock almost up was easier to just let the game carry on.

it wouldn't have made any difference if he'd sent a few more chelsea players off as there is no ban. chelsea could so easily have ended the game with 8 men. did you see lampard's scything down of jimmy?

rag brother in law thought chelsea were the better team in the first half!!!!

Pantillimon lived up to his nickname "Pants" not that he had that much to do other than pick the ball out of the net! shame, as he was so good during the pre-season, in all sorts of conditions.
Shame the game wasn't at Wembley, it had more of pre-season friendly vibe than anything resembling a trophy match...
