Although i first went to Maine Rd a year or so before John Bond took over, it was his team and that of the '81 Cup Final that were my first memories of watching City.
I'm saddened to hear this news as he was such a nice fella.

Very sad news. One of the precious few managers we've had in my lifetime who looked like he could turn us around. Shame we didn't get the FA Cup in '81, it would've been his legacy.
