Basically, we help clubs push for champs league (Spuds last year with Adebayor).

If we do let players go out on loan, we should get other clubs to pay half the wages (at least) and have an achievement clause such as qualify for champs league and pay us £3M for the loan.

We shouldn't let anyone go on loan to a top 7 team, but that "achievement clause" you mention there Dawg sounds good.

It's tougher for us without qualifying for the champs league knockout. Losing maybe £10M makes us search for any money. IF Everton cover £1.5M of Lescott's wages, I reckon Mancini/City will sanction the deal.

Actually, thinking about it short term, he can't play against us and maybe he'll help Everton take something off the rags and Chelsea etc.

The downside would be if Everton qualify for the champs league, will they get enough money from it to stay there and challenge for the league in a couple of years?

Loaning to teams in the same division shouldn't be allowed anyway, it was originally a method to get younger players 1st team exp in the lower leagues. Nowadays teams just take the piss.

I'd let him go, he's not done us any harm just not figured in Mancini's plans and wants to stay in the England set up. More worried about the players we're missing with injuries...VK, Micah and dare i say Kolorov with Lescott not getting a chance we desperately need at least 2 of them back.

I still think we bought the wrong player from them this year. Seventeen million for Rodders? We should've upped it another five and got Fellaini outright. Sure, he's a bit of a dirty player, but you know he'll put in a shift. Plus I'm sure Vinny, as a fellow Belgian, would've been more than happy to put in a good word.

But yes, swap Lesser for Fellaini would be a good move for us. Granted, we'd both be compromised at Goodison and we'd probably lose, but I'd take that to have the big haired fella scaring the bejesus out of the raggies at the swamp.

And no, it probably won't happen. Chances are we'll swap him for Donkey Adam from the Dippers and pay forty seven million quid and 99% of the combined wages for the privilege.
