FIFA team of the year. Empty FIFA team of the year.

The Fifa world team of the year was also announced, with the entire side made up of Spain-based players: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Dani Alves (Barcelona), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Xavi (Barcelona), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid), Lionel Messi (Barcelona).

Does Blatter not like the Premier League? I can never tell.

lol, I was just about to put this up.

Some bollocks there since Barca won fuck all and Real 'only' won their own league.

Munich and Chelsea got to the CL final so you'd have thought that one of them would have someone good enough for that team. Same with City and Dortmund winning their respective leagues.

Yeah, what a load of crap.

Ronaldo, Messi, Iniesta, Xavi and Falcao i can maybe accept but Pique, Ramos, Alonso, Casillas, Marcelo and Alves....come on. They can't seriously say that no-ones had a better season than them.

Joke. All they've done is name the bigger names from the two main sides and chucked in a player from Athletico to make it look like they've done their homework. Any idiot could've done that!

No mention of Aguero, Yaya, Vinny, Hart, who all had stellar seasons last year. It's total bias, if Barca and Real had to play in the prem week in week out, getting kicked by cloggers like Stoke and being forced to play a high tempo game, we'd soon see how good they were, look at RM this year, suffering.

UEFA Team of the year: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Thiago Silva (AC Milan/Paris Saint-Germain), Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Xavi Hernández (Barcelona), Andrea Pirlo (Juventus), Mesut Özil (Real Madrid), Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid).

Uefa are just as bad.

Absolutely ridiculous!

At least UEFA recognise that Spain isn't the only country in Europe. Look, Italy! Germany! France!

Still a big old slice of bollocks though and only one player who appeared in the CL final. For the losing side. Makes you wonder if FFP is ever going to be fair.
