Did Vinny deserve to go?

It did look a tad harsh at the time. In real time, VK does make some lunge tackles which always look worse than they are.
I thought Wilshere was late in the tackle. Will need to see it again on MOTD2.

Probably not....but you can see why the ref's sent him off. If you raise both feet off the ground, then it's a straight red....whether you win the ball cleanly or not.
City are supposed to be appealin against it (according to SSN), not a cat in hells cance of it getting overturned.

Take a look at the link I posted, Vinny clearly leads with one boot on the ground, I thought initially, Dean was going to send Wilshire off

There were angles shown after the game on Sky that quite clearly show Vinny going in with both feet off the ground. It'll probably show it on MOTD2 in a bit.

seen a photo, looks clean.
on video, from one angle, looks a bit dangerous.
But VK took the ball cleanly, one footed tackle, studs not showing until after he took the ball. Wilshere was late - maybe he should have been sent off...
