Rich list...City moving up
Madrid still well on top, but Utd (even though £100M behind) may well catch them up in the next couple of years with huge sponsorship deals coming on line.
We are already way past Liverpool (even without the Etihad shirt and stadium deal) and should take Arsenal and Chelsea next season as Chelsea's revenues will take a huge hit from their Champs League exit. If Arsenal don't qualify for the Champs League, they will suffer badly like Liverpool are doing.
With the new tv deal starting next year, I reckon we'll break through the £300M barrier and will be close to Bayern.
1 Real Madrid £414.7m (£433m in 2010/11)
2 Barcelona £390.8m (£407m)
3
Man Utd £320.3m (£331.4m)
4 Bayern Munich £298.1m (£290.3m)
5 Chelsea
£261m (£228.6m)
6 Arsenal £234.9m (£226.8m)
7 Man City £231.1m
(£153.2m)
8 AC Milan £207.9m (£212m)
9 Liverpool £188.7m (183.6m)
10
Juventus£158.1m (£139m)

Madrid, Barcelona, United and AC Milan have all gone down... so does this mean the old empires are falling, or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

I didn't notice that Leo.
Champs League and domestic league titles do bring in extra cash. Miss out on them, miss out on extra wonga.

It's no wonder they want FFP, is it??
That's an impressive increase for us, though, and we're not even finished.

If we'd actually done something in the Champs League we'd be above Arsenal and knocking on the door of Chelsea already.
We'd even be close to Utd but I can see them motoring ahead with the Chevrolet deal...

Chevrolet
They do one decent car, one car which is a Vauxhall and the rest are Daewoos. Hardly like being sponsored by Jaguar.
And that was a dreadful pun, Dawg

like everything else theses day, how many more shirts can the top teams flog, how many more new fan bases can they tap into, how much more money can they get off sponsors, how much more money can our teams get for TV deals & how much more can they squeeze out of the fans??????
I dont give a shit about that list.

Where would we be if, and when, we win the Champs league? It would give that old fart across the street something to chew on.I am not surprised at Arsenal being above us,the money they charge for a ticket, bloody pirates!!

Re: Rich list...City moving up
Well, given that FFP has thrown this sort of list into sharp focus, I guess City do. It shows we're growing and that we can overcome the FFP regulations and step towards self sufficiency.
Not that it matters. It's just one more hurdle to negotiate.
